Chuckles4lyfe 441 March 11, 2014 Share March 11, 2014 I'm not going to pit judgment until I see the official product. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Sigh.......... 3 Equestria Girls movies, and still no announcement or plans for there to be a full fledged Friendship is Magic movie . I feel that the entire concept of EQG was unnecessary. We've already established a deep and rich world with our favorite equines, so we don't need Hasbro or DHX to create an entire new world. It still baffles me how EQG made it past the green room and scripting progress. If a FIM movie were to be made though, all of you can bet that Hasbro would be raking in the dough BIG TIME :comeatus:!!! 2 #Squadgoals "But that day...The day I discovered racing...I proved that the legends were true. Golurk 468 March 14, 2014 Share March 14, 2014 Wait, there was a 2nd one?! Meh. I didn't particularly like the first one, and I can only imagine the same of the second, so I don't think this would be for me. But hey, at least Hasbro hasn't gone all Valve on us. Indeed. Nine 707 March 14, 2014 Share March 14, 2014 yeahaughhhhrrrrr .. I haven't seen the EQG movie. Originally it was my intent to .. never watch it of my own volition. I mean if someone played it while I was in the room, I wouldn't leave, but I don't see myself going out of my way to buy it because .. humans high school etc. it's just "no" to me. Just no. EXCEPT .. except, Greg Hoffman (of the Mentally Advanced/Rainbow Dash Presents series fame) announced their intent to make a parody of EQG, and I love his work, so now I probably will end up watching it .. someday .. eventually .. so that I better understand the humor of the parody. Other than that, I wish for a quick end to human pony spinoffs. Optionally quickly and painlessly, but I'll settle for anything.
Henny Penny Benny 936 March 14, 2014 Share March 14, 2014 Equestria Girls was a great movie. The plot wasn't as bad as the squinnies say. In fact, I rather enjoyed the storyline. And that's not even to mention the moments of hilarity like Twilight running headfirst into a door, and the fabulous music, and the shout-outs to bronies. Y'all just quit your squnnying and either admit you enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next one, or quit your squinnying and get over it. It won't mean the end of the world, and more importantly, it won't mean the end of FIM.

Orablanco Account 3,707 March 16, 2014 Share March 16, 2014 (edited) Yeah, kind sucks that we live in this particular universe where we have to deal with this. Just imagine all those happy alternate realities where there is no EQG and they instead have an actual MLP movie in development. And don't any of you tell me that I should just wait and see before I start hating. Like I've said many times before, what makes EQG so unfortunate isn't that it isn't very good (seriously, take out the ponies and no one would think this is worth anyone's time), it's the mere fact that it exists. Every time we get another one of these, it's just another year we don't get an MLP movie while they focus on this, and it's another thing we have to be embarrassed about. The show is never gonna be "mainstream", to be sure, but it's been making strides as of late (features in Entertainment Weekly, making it on to Best Animated Series Ever lists in a few publications, the documentaries), and EQG 2: The Quest for Celestia's Gold comes out, and everybody will go right back to thinking this show is on the same level of Bratz. Worst thing ever? No, and I'm sure these sequels will be amusing on the most basic level, but given the choice between three semi-amusing flicks and all the negative consequences they create, or DHX working on something they actually want to work on and will probably turn out awesome, I choose the latter. Not that I have any delusions as to whether they have a choice, mind you. Hasbro not understanding what they have here is starting to get really annoying. Guest90210 3,568 March 16, 2014 Share March 16, 2014 And don't any of you tell me that I should just wait and see before I start hating. This in particular annoys me. People say "Don't hate on it before you see it!", but this is hypocrisy because most of the time this statement is followed up by "This is going to be awesome!". How can you like it before seeing it but not dislike it? Yeah, kind sucks that we live in this particular universe where we have to deal with this. Just imagine all those happy alternate realities where there is no EQG and they instead have an actual MLP movie in development. Right on the money here. Orablanco Account 3,707 March 16, 2014 Share March 16, 2014 Ok real talk, I don't even know what to say. Between this, rainbow rocks, the five more years of this show being confirmed, and the drop in quality this current season, I'm on the verge of just washing my hands of this series before it innevitably goes to hopeless shit, like a plot hole that single-handedly destroys the entire continuity. But in all seriousness, I'm willing to give the show a chance to redeem its misgivings next season. It's earned that much with the first 65 mostly-wonderful episodes, plus there's enough bright spots this season that I don't really count it as a bust. That said, I'm a bit weary. One can't help but feel we may have already passed the Jumping of the Shark... Onwards to my DeviantArt page! Sig by the illustrious Kyoshi! One can't help but feel we may have already passed the Jumping of the Shark... Don't know if I'd say that was jumping the shark (though it was apparently a plot hole from what I heard when I watched Tommy Oliver's review, I forget exactly why it was one, I haven't personally watched the episode since I heard bad things about it, which is why I haven't watched any episodes since S4 E14 til the latest one). However it was obviously done for the sake of new toys, and if it really is a plot hole, those two facts combined does not bode well for the show's future. I get what you're saying, about how the show has gone on so long that you wanna give it a chance to fix it's mistakes, but I've zero hope at this point. Just all things considered (the fact that hasbro is in charge, the decrease in writing quality lately, the fact that they've proven to be willing to disregard logic and continuity (possibly the breezies, and Bulk Biceps being unable to fly in Rainbow Falls with zero explanation despite the fact that he got into the wonderbolt academy and in said episode and Hurricane Fluttershy he's shown to be a competent flyer, and possibly more this season). It's like watching a train wreck, but in slow motion. Horribly slow motion. But then Weird Al randomly hops out of one of the cars, and it gives me hope that there will be survivors. Thinking about it, I think it's the fact that there are so many new writers this season. We must give it another chance. 1 Onwards to my DeviantArt page! Sig by the illustrious Kyoshi!
Adorkable 2,737 March 21, 2014 Share March 21, 2014 I seen the book as well. ^^ I have to say, it's possible! I mean, wasn't "Rainbow Rocks" a book before confirmed as a movie? I wouldn't mind a 3rd Equestria Girls, I loved the first one, and I already have my mind set on loving the second one. ^^ If it comes out, I'll be sure to watch it! ^^
