Rarity Paige Belle 1,854 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 I've been thinking who could voice the mane six and here are my suggestions: Twilight Sparkle: Ellen Page Pinkie Pie: Katy Perry Rainbow Dash: Chloe Grace Mortez Applejack: Ashleigh Ball ( I know she already voices her, but hey ho) Rarity: Kate Winslet Fluttershy: Amy Adams Tell me if you agree! Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! What more could you want? (Thanks Kyoshi for letting everyone use your sigs!)

Grumpy Enchantress 587 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 (edited) Pinkie Pie should break the fourth wall and voice herself!!!! Well no studio would hire a bunch of relative unknowns to do a big budget CGI movie! The movie shouldn't be CGI if it happens and if they don't get the real voices, then that probably strongly implies that it'd be a shitty movie anyway. I hate Hollywood executives who listen more to charts than what would actually make a quality film. :okiedokielokie: Edited March 4, 2014 by Grumpy Enchantress

I hate Hollywood executives who listen more to charts than what would actually make a quality film. :okiedokielokie: ^ This Seriously, children RARELY care who is voicing the characters in movies or T.V. shows, and if it wasn't done by the real voice actors, then the brony community (which is a HUGE chunk of the MLP revenue) would bash it to high heaven. The ONLY people who would care would be non-brony parents of the children that want to see it, but that's not why they'd take their kids. They'd take their kids because the kids want to see it. So it's a pointless waste of money to hire celebrity voice actors for millions of dollars, when you can have the regular voice actors (who have been doing it for years now) do it. SBaby 660 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 (edited) Well no studio would hire a bunch of relative unknowns to do a big budget CGI movie! They got Peter Cullen to voice Optimus in the live action Transformers movies. And they didn't re-cast the Power Rangers in their first movie (the one that incidentally had the biggest budget). So I'm pretty sure they would just use the current voice cast if they ever did a FiM movie. It doesn't make any sense from a budget standpoint to get more expensive voice actors, when the current ones are not only perfectly good VAs, but the ones that kids will more easily recognize. The only exception would be if there were characters we haven't seen in the show yet (like if there was a new villain or something). Edited March 4, 2014 by SBaby 2 A Winner Is You!!! Frostgage 7,976 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 Why would you use different voice actors? That's one of the main reason I started watching, the voice acting, for every character, is several levels above any other show. The Mane-iac 1,648 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 (edited) Big name celebrities are far too worshipped and don't mean everything. Some of the best movies have starred relatively unknowns, and in fact all actors started out that way. Just like how a certain actor makes that character and gets singled out AS that character when it's a well known and long running character, VAs are known for their characters. If you don't get the correct VA for the character then people will take note and complain. Look at the controversy when Tara Strong took over as Harley Quinn, or when Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy said they were done voicing Joker and Batman respectively. I mean just here recently I noticed that the VA for the Yellow M&M was changed, I don't know why, but I noticed and didn't like it. Or look at how big of a deal it was that Futurama got the original VAs when they came back. VAs of popular characters may not be "big name" on-screen actors, but they are still well-known within the VA community and deserve just as much respect or "worship" that people give actors. Also the switch to CGI would be horrible and not work well. Completely wrong format for this media, the SFM 3D ponies are strange enough, adding hair and such along the lines of Sulley from Monsters Inc would make it even creepier. You have a cartoon that you want to turn into a movie? Do it correctly, Simpsons Movie is a prime example of doing things right as far as sticking with the tried and true format, VAs, and writers. MLP would have to follow that example as well. The only exception would be if there were characters we haven't seen in the show yet. Another good point. The show is on right now. I know if I was a kid, and I watched MLP, and then went to see a movie where ALL their voices were wrong, I'd be a very miffed little kid. The reason a lot of movies that are made of older properties have celebrity voice actors is because those characters 1) never had established voices to begin with, 2) their established voice actors are dead or their voices changed, or 3) the original property is so old that the target audience isn't going to be familiar with what the original voices sounded like. Why would you use different voice actors? That's one of the main reason I started watching, the voice acting, for every character, is several levels above any other show. I'm still not used to the new Pokemon voices. Hollywood tends to hire celebrities to do voice acting in animated movies because they believe that the popularity of those celebrities will bring in money, rather than caring if they're actually the right person to voice that character. It's fine for movies like Kung Fu Panda, where we're being introduced to characters that have no previous identity. But it doesn't make sense for movies based on properties where the characters already have established voice actors. And it makes even LESS sense if the movie is put out AT THE SAME TIME as the original property is still being produced and actively watched ... or when Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy said they were done voicing Joker and Batman respectively... Mark Hamill is THE Joker. It was always freakin' meant to be. The universe decided it before he even took the role. I mean look at this: Mark Hamill mARK HAMill m ARKHAM ill ARKHAM, SUCKAHS!!! Lightning Bliss 1,674 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 Well no studio would hire a bunch of relative unknowns to do a big budget CGI movie! A fandom that is as big as MLP FIM, is important to the fans and any studieo would respect the orginal voice actors of the show. Tara Strong is not a "nobody" voice actor, she's been voice acting for years in other cartoon franchises and is well known in the 2D animation business. She's one of the most skilled and best actresses as well. Not to mention the show was able to afford a well known after for the show, John Delancie. If a studeio really asked for permission to carry the liscenes of the MLP FIM, they would be smart enough to hire on the orginal voice cast, not replace them knowing the fans would recongize it instantly. Let's not derail or...insult the orginals here, they are NOT nobodies. 1 I'm just a silly little alicorn, trying to get by in the fandom ^^ The Lightning Bliss Show Lightning Bliss DevianArt
