Broken bows slightly and waits for the others' responses. He hopes that with a larger group, they can escape the city faster.

Frozen smiles, "Nice to meet you Broken." After this, she seemingly retreats, the adrenaline in her system fading as she reverts to her normal demeanor, "I... What do we have to fight against... THEM?" She asks quietly as the air around her cools slightly. She turns toward War Fluttershy, "A community? Do... Do we have the logistics for such a thing?"

"Not yet, thats why we are here. To get the supplies to start one, but we will need a base of opperations to cordenate such." I tell frozen and the others. "And hopefully find some cider somewhere too" licks my lips at the thought of the taste while also look at the others for their responce.

Missy notices Broken seemingly trying to protect her, it could be because he's kind, but she'd been getting that from everypony, she wasn't a baby, she could take care of herself, and she had been for a week or so, she didn't need anypony to protect her, though it was nice to not have to worry as much about where the next danger lies.

Missy was sat beside the big pony. Broken, his name was, it made her wonder.

"Uh, Broken? Why is your name Broken, is it short for something? I am kind of curious, and just a little bit bored, so... I thought some questions and conversation should liven things up."

Broken flicks an ear and snorts, "We should be going out into the city soon, Flame. We need to collect more diverse supplies and find a map of the surrounding towns. This place has food, but not of the type that will be sustainable for a group like ours..."

 

Broken falls silent for a moment and just absorbs the amount of things that need to be done if they are to survive. Until he'd thought about it, the full impact of this situation had not really hit him. He shakes his head when he realizes Missy asked him a question.

 

"I am Broken Physicality. It is a long name and it was not my first; it was a gift."

Philipe shrugged "I want to stay here, plenty of useful supplies, lots of charcoal, scrap metal, weapons, if I can find an anvil and some brick and cement, i'll be set to start smithing...it would be perfect if we found a hardware store, they would carry everything except the anvil"

I fall under a deep sleep on Broken's back. Apparently preening and flying around in a circle makes a pony tired!

"Yes. That would be nice. We should make this base of operations. We need to find a hardware store for philipe to make weapons. Ofcourse the we will need to loot the department store for supplies that haven't been looted by others."

 

I look at the group to see if they support me or not about what actions we need to take for now.

 

"Oh and ofcourse. I don't like to have fillies and colts go out on missions. Not unless they are acompaniedwith a few armed stalions and or mares."

 

I smile as i watch flame fall asleep.

Frozen steps back, keeping an eye out for zomb... THEM, and not wanting to be a part of the decision making process. When she hears War Fluttershy suggest a course of action she smiles, "I... I think that will work. Department Stores have maps don't they? If we can find a map, we'll be much better off than we are right now..."

Broken nods, "As you say, warpony, so it will be. So long as Flame stays with me when I am sent out, I will abide by your decisions."

 

Broken shifts his shoulders around to more securely place Flame in the center of his back just between the support struts of his wings. Perhaps he could find a power source for his wings in the ruins of this city- he highly doubts that he will but he can't help but hope. The lack of flight and the inability to use his wings as more than simple shields and weapon platforms is almost torturous.

I nod in agreement with Broken.

 

"Alright then. I am fine with that. Is there any other idea's that you guys can spout out? I don't want to be the only one making these decisions. I would like it to be more of a democracy instead of a bureaucracy, or a monarchy type of community"

 

I say kind of getting worried that this might end up the wrong way I wanted things to go.

 

'Then again,' I think to myself 'I might be able to rule the kind of community that has a monarch that works with their people instead of it standing there and looking pretty. Eh... then again... things can change the way we do things... I seriously don't want to be a Monarch... only if Princess Celestia and Princess Luna where here. They would be able to cast away these zombies and rest their souls in the Eternal Herd with the King and Queen.

I nod to Dust and smile at what she says. Then I look over at Frozen.

 

"Unfortunately no... though i wish i knew what happened to them. Maybe we will find a way to end them ourselves after years of shaping our community to take on the threat."

Broken contents himself by listening to Flame's even breathing. It is peaceful and calming though he cannot fully relax himself while listening to the conversation around him. Internally, he is cataloging all the useful equipment around them. He has two more free weapon mounts on his wing that can accommodate the longer slug throwers. His other wing, until powered on, cannot mount anything else. The medical supplies he carries now, are insufficient for major injuries or illness. They will need to find the equivalent of the medi-mage sanctum and scavenge supplies from there. He cannot show the others the frustration he feels at their lack of high magic artifacts. Even the most basic of tools the Diarchy used were designed to last thousands of years- a byproduct of the neurotic tendencies of the second Queen to plan ahead.

Sweets and Lace had stayed silent during the whole affair, just kind of watching from the background, trying to get used to this sudden appearance of several more ponies to their group, they would have to get used to it

Lace, in the daze of these new ponies arriving, had not even noticed Missy suturing the wound of the other young pony. She pulled a face, ears pinned back. "Missy, sweetspindle, you didn't do too bad..." she looked away. "But ask me next time. I suppose I get nervous with other ponies and needles." she laughed weakly, lightly stroking the young filly's mane.

 

Sweets meanwhile, had gone and come back with blanket(though it was a sleeping bag), dazed at the sudden additions to their band. "Oh, I didn't expect so many new faces." she turned to Lace. "Are they all right?" before going over to Arial Flame, draping the sleeping bag over him. "Is he going to be alright?" her messy mane framed her face, concerned. He was just a kid.

I look at everyone and everything.

 

"Sleeping bags, food, water, weapons and survival items, also anything that can be used for materials to improve items"

 

I go ahead and get the camping gear that is in the area except of what is out for the group of new ponies that where there.

"Wait, I thought we were going to set up camp here....there is no way we can move all the supplies that we need out, and it is already an easily defensible location" he began pulling the solid metal store grates down over the windows "See? and if I work on it, I think I can get us some power..."

With the metal grates over the windows, the store was very dark with the only light coming from the skylight, but like most stores like it, the store lights could be turned on if the power switch was found, however this would be difficult in the dark

"I learned it all back home, I guess I had a lot of free time to read books and I just learned stuff, I guess." Missy put a foreleg around Lace's foreleg. "Um... since everypony is finding where they're going to be for the foreseeable future, can I stay with you and Sweets, I don't really trust anypony else."

"Yeah. Camping gear to sleep out here in the tents. When we are all aquantied and buddies we'll get set up for making a community outside the city"

 

I tell philipe and set a tent down at the cornor near the restrooms. Then after setting it up i walk to the clothing isle and pickout a set of camo clothing.

 

"Tommorrow we are going back to the house and take what we have there and bring it all back here."

 

I say as i get back from the center wearing camoclothing.

Broken eases Flame down onto a bedroll with the blanket Sweets draped over him and walks over to the back door. It needs to barricaded. While everypony else is situating themselves in the store, Broken considers the doorway. He could drag some shelving in front as a temporary blockage, but it would be problematic to remove if they need to exit quickly. He looks around for a moments until he spots the heavy wood pallets a few of the store's goods are resting on. He eyeballs their height and weight and concludes that he can move them around without too much difficulty. He starts dragging one from an adjacent room and piling them up in front of the doorway.
