Pinkie Mina Pie 6 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 (edited) We should watch 'My little pony' if you haven;t grasped the lesson of friendship, to be a rebel, the music, the moral complicated situations, Pinkie pie, it's feminist, Rainbow Dash, it's vintage, the fandom and the geek references. 'My little pony' teaches adults and people with social problems how to survive in friendships or how to create a friendship with someone. Starters like Twilight Sparkle who never thought they would need a friend learn how life is happier to have a friend around and to know that this person or group of people are generous, funny, kind, loyal, and honest. 'My little pony' teaches us what to do in similar problem instead of using violence and making peace on earth. 'My little pony' makes you a freaking rebel as it was to be a target for little girls like toddlers and instead captured the hearts of older men and women (Bronies and Pegasisters) and not worrying that someone will call you a freak or gay as theirs more than billions of people just like you. 'My little pony''s music is inspiring others and have lessons that get stuck in our heads and knowing when you sing it out loud and another Brony or Pegasister notices, you make friends with them and find that your friends with them for life. The complicated situations in 'My little pony' make you realize that these situations are similar to the problems and situations to real life and these complicated situations are even cliff hangers which makes us more interest in the show. The characters Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash are the two that are most blogged and talk about ponies besides Fluttershy and with Pinkie Pie's funny, bubbly, social, positive attitude, she makes you happy and want to laugh when your down. Rainbow Dash's attitude makes you want to act "20% more cooler". Even though she loyal she has this "athletic attitude" like being competitive and wanting to stand out and be the most talked pony. 'My little pony' is vintage as it involved from the older versions of 'My little pony 1982- 2008'. Even though some of the characters changed like Rainbow Dash used to be a combination of Rarity and always creating dress and fashion designs and always making a big appearance. 'My little pony' makes lots of geek and nerdy references as Doctor Whooves is a spouse to be the pony version of the most popular Doctor. Doctor Who is a time traveling alien that looks like a human and saves the earth with it's history etc. Other geek and nerdy references are made as Harry Trotter is the pony version of the most famous wizard, Harry Potter and Professor Bill Neigh is the pony version of Bill Nye the Science guy. The fandom of 'My little pony' is out-ragingly awesome as there's lots of fan-fics like Doctor Whooves and Derpy Hooves and Creepy Pastas's murderous Pinkiemena Pie (needs to be read by people who haven't read it already. The fandom is celebrated each year at BronyCon and Brony and Pegasister get together meetings. 'My little pony' is feminist and is great for the show as these mares need a stallion or for some a mare and you can make lots of fan-fics and Bronies and Pegasisters love making Clop Clop pictures and stories to get on the adult side of 'My little pony'. Scootalove 10,692 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 (edited) The show does inspire us to have some happiness, and we enjoy the show so much that it makes us feel happy when we're down. I watch it for the morals, characters, music, and plots. Edited March 17, 2014 by Scootalove 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Discordian 6,020 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 Because I don't accept social norms of what does and doesn't make acceptable male behavior. I outright defy them at times. Because I'm a cartoon enthusiast and have watched a lot of cartoons over the years from many different eras ranging from the 1940's to today. If it's animated it doesn't matter who the audience is, I'm very likely to be attracted just by being animated. This extends to fan and amateur animations. It's another feather in my cartoon enthusiast cap, as they say.

Tigerpop198 696 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 The reason why we watch the show, is because it is a great show, the plots are well done, and the characters personalities are well developed.
Page.Turner 940 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 I think everyone on this site has already grasped their reason for watching the show... or else they wouldn't be here. X3 However, I watch it because I think it's adorable. The story line is great; it's not too complicated but not all that simplistic. The stories are good, they teach good lessons/morals, and anyone with an open mind can enjoy it. 2 ...
Singe 2,111 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 Most cartoon characters these days are jerks or annoying. This show is a good change of pace from no nonsense friendship train wrecks like Legend of Korra.

SBaby 660 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 Here's a good reason. It lets us get away from all the horrible things that are happening in real life, even if only for a little while. A Winner Is You!!!
Discordian 6,020 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 (edited) Moar reasoning: Because a lot of modern cartoons rely far too much on generic/wooden characters (not a problem by itself but can really bring down the quality of something if handled wrong), snot/fart/booger humor or some sort of suggestive humor and material. MLP stays away from those things for the most part. You can argue the depth of the MLP characters of course but generally speaking they have enough personality flair to at least not be considered totally and utterly generic in every episode and situation. Plus I hate slime humor with a passion. It really bogs down a lot of modern cartoons like Spongebob (which I love more than MLP, mind you) and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy which practically relies on it. Singe 2,111 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 (edited) How about the point that FIM gives you decent female characters to enjoy compared to other cartoon series that usually winds up with cliche, stereotyping or under developing them. And of course... Talk about flanks! Flanks! Flanks! Young ponies obsessed with their flanks! Watch Fluttershy, Silver Spoon, Twilight Sparkle and Applebloom shake their bare flanks! applejock 359 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 A long time ago (perhaps not so many years for some reading this), your Mother sat you down and said the following: "You family, and your friends are the single most important things in your life. Your happyness and theres will depend on the need you have for each other, and the Joy you bring one another." (The previous motherly advice has come in many forms over the years, read it as yours said to you, or perhaps it was a Father, Teacher, etc.) But, Life forces us to forget. The Modern way of Social Media, forces us too forget. Friends and Family are hard to keep over the passing years. They always have been. But in this day and age they are even easier to lose, forget, or flat out ignore. We life in an age of information that is so putrid, so vile, so eager to hurt, blame, and just make you feel bad that we as a society have taken too it like a pup to its mothers teet. It is easy to hate, to hurt, to lie, and to abuse. It is NOT easy to love. MLP, My Little Pony, is that Motherly advice. Every episode is a lesson YOU HAD BEEN GIVEN already as a child. Every sitcuation (perhaps magical dragons excluded) is something you have gone through with your family and friends. The show is spoon feeding you things and truths that you HAVE to embrace or you WILL become a synical a-hole who posts on youtube you "opinions" on things. Now, not all of us have grown and forgotten or been forced from our Mothers lessons (or fathers, teachers, etc). But many of us have. We have found an ease of comfort in the internet that allows us to shovel the anger in our very soul out in simple comments like "TLDR" or "OMG YOU FAIL!" or even "Clearly your wrong and I am right, see how many likes my last post got!? OWNED!". My little pony is not a new show, its been going on for 20 some years, and since I was a pup in the 80s I enjoyed the simple pleasure of redundent morals, lessons, and just simple things like friends helping one another or family giving, in my Televison shows. But hey, not everything HAS to be a message, not everything HAS to mean something. Maybe it really is just a bunch of Candy colored mares skipping around and doing great animations that we spend hours pouring over to make our forum avatars, so we can post our thoughts in hopes we become the next new Meme...or Maybe, just maybe, its far more simple then all of that. MLP is pure. Clean, and has a voice to that part of you that is still that Pup listening to your Mother, Father, or Teacher and thinking to yourself "You know what..I DO care about my friends!". Remeber whats important. And stop judging, only God can do that. ---> Here be Fabulous Mare! <--- There be Brony! ***Fear the Hater, for they are out to taint your Perfection. Buck the Troll, for he would seek to stop the Fabulous flavor. For you are Brony, coated in Pearl, maned in fine Mulberry, eyes of the sky, and flanks of Diamonds. Your life is for the Lady, all hail the Queen, for Rarity, your life, for her.*** -Applejock
Shanks 10,817 March 18, 2014 Share March 18, 2014 It is a good show, I could give many reasons why it is a good show and people have their own individual reasons but simply put despite its "girly" reputation it is a good show that proves that good has no demographic. Just because a show is geared toward children or even "little girls" dosen't mean it has to be dumbed down to the point where it is insulting even for 2 year olds.
