All these puns from real world cities just implies that Equestria is just like our world, except with ponies and ponified names.

So these cities could exist :o

Hoofover, Germaney (where Photo Finish could be from xD)

Manechester, United Pony Kingdom

Johoofingsburg, South Africa (not sure how to ponify countries)

Stallipore (Singapore... really forcing it)

Manebourne

Neighjing, China

Brony, Ponyland.

And these people...

Ludwig Van Neighthoven

Michael Mareaday

Timbergang Amareus Mozart

Frederic Clophin

Hmm...

Miami = Maneami

Seattle = Stabattle (from 'Stable')

Denver = Neighver

Detroit = Neightroit (I actually used this name in one of my fanfics)

New Orleans = New Colteans

Chicago = Chicoltgo

Apply for a job at Hasbro. Now.

I think they're having WAY too much fun with puns.

This thread is proof: you can never have too many [pony] puns.

You mean Las Vegas? And that's what I meant. Las Pegasus sounds just like Las Vegas. It really doesn't sound like Los Angeles at all

It has to be the analog for Los Angeles though, because it makes more sense that way. The City of Angels becomes the City of Pegasi.

You mean LOS Angeles?!

I'm pretty sure still that it's after Las Vegas. Just think about it: Las Vegas, Las PEGASus. Los Angeles doesn't sound anything alike to Pegaus

Yes, that's what I meant.

Think about it though, from an Anglophone perspective. We pronounce Los Angeles differently from the way you probably do, as a Spanish speaking native. EDIT: Wikipedia's article on the city has the pronunciation much more easily accessible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles

Because we pronounce it that way, it sounds rather similar to Pegasus. The syllable count also lines up much better...Angeles has three syllables, as does Pegasus.

And, of course, as I already pointed out, it also makes sense from a symbolic perspective, since both angels and Pegasi have wings.
