Which mane pony race is your favorite, and why?

You know the 3 pony races right?

 

I would hope so.

 

For those who may not, there are Earth Ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns.

 

 

Of the 3, I would have to go with Unicorn.

 

Why? Because Twilight Sparkle (a.k.a. best pony in existence) is one.

 

HA, I'm kidding, it's totally because of that. ^

 

 

But really, I see many reasons why Unicorns are my favorite.

 

First, you can do more as a Unicorn than as a Earth Pony or Pegasi.

 

Sure Earth Ponies are brutes, but why spend all day bucking apples when you can use a spell to snatch all the apples from the tree? (Remember episode 4? ^^")

 

 

BOOM! A whole day's worth of work, triumphed by the might that is Twilight Sparkle.

 

Or you know, another Unicorn not as good and amazing as Twilight Sparkle.

 

Another reason, they can basically get anywhere they need to go, transport wise.

 

Take it like this, need to go to Cloudsdale? There's a spell for that.

 

Not only can Unicorns use a spell to grant the power to walk on clouds...

 

BUT, they can temporarily give themselves or another pony wings.

 

(Remember episode 16? ^^")

 

 

HUZZAH! Another point for the Unicorns, if you ask me.

 

I mean really, if you don't just love love LOVE these Unicorns, you gotta be crazy.

 

I mean, these Ponies are like the swiss army knives of Equestria, you just can't go wrong!

 

Last but not least, a smaller note.

 

Comparing how Twilight Sparkle (<333) and Princess Cadence became Alicorns, I'd say it was significantly easier for Twily.

 

BUT WHY?!

 

Well, it would just make sense for it to be easier to fly than to learn a butt load of magic, you know?

 

That's just opinion wise. ^^

 

 

So what do you guys think, hmm? Earth Pony, Pegasus, or Unicorn? ^^ (

Deciding between the three races is hard, I'm going with the pegasi. The wings are the very essential part that I love about them, also that they control the weather in their own way. Got to love it.

People tend to hate me for this, but I like alicorns. After MMC I got the feeling that alicorns are supposed to be kind of guides, leaders for the ponies.

Earth ponies. They're so normal, but I just kind of like them the most for whatever reason. I guess their not being all that special makes them especially special to me in the setting of the show.

 

And, of course, there is the "Applejack is best pony" factor.

   That's easy the pegasi, because they can fly, and stand on clouds, for I often fantasize about flying, the simple ardour of that sort of freedom is exhilarating, lastly my ponysona Star Azure is an pegasus pony.

I'm gonna go with unicorns! I've always been so fascinated by magical lore and such. Unicorns were always one of my favorite mythological creatures, plus, you get to do a lot more as a unicorn then as a pegasus or an earth pony. Not saying anything is bad with those races, I just prefer unicorns.

Unicorns don't have all the OP powers that you're saying, though. XD Twilight is just special with magic because magic is her thing.

 

They've pretty much already said in the show that a unicorn's magic is specialized and specific. It would be way harder and almost impossible for a unicorn who deals with fashion (lol Rarity ) to learn how to teleport or give another pony wings/cloud walking abilities than it would be for Twilight who has studied magic intensively her whole life.

 

I love unicorns, but they're not ALL as powerful or gifted as Twilight O:

I'd say pegasi, I like the idea of being able to fly and also when your hoofs are tired, you can use your wings making it more useful, and I also like the idea of being able to control the weather

LOL I knew that the pegasi race would be the most popular among us! What's there not to love about pegasus ponies?

 

Aside from the fact that best pony just so happens to be a pegasus (Dashie ftw ), who wouldn't love the ability to just fly around in the sky without a worry in the world? The other 2 races just seem so limited only being able to travel on foot. Pegasi can choose whether or not to travel by land or sky. Having more options means that they're not so restricted & that's an automatic + in my book  .
