pinkiepup 1 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 Boinc allows any computer to perform science research while not in use. It is a simple client that can run while the computer in not in use, or if your computer is cool like mine, in the background. Right now boinc is under supported. If your interested i sugest you look into doing cancer reesearch yourself. but i believe with enough motivation we can convince retailers like best buy and microsoft to support cancer and hiv research through Boinc. Please consider signing and sharing:http://www.change.org/petitions/a...ght-cancerLets work towards a better future together
Scootalove 10,689 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 A better future? Yeah, sure. The more we research about cancer, we can learn more about it and how to detect if someone has cancer or not. If motivation can convince people, make it could work. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules

M'aiq the Liar 5,804 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 It is a good idea, but I just worry about what installing a background running program may allow people to do easier once someone purchases that computer. http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/vera-yeoman-r5921Muh pleb tier OC .http://mlpforums.com/blog/1663/entry-12477-pony-waifu-wedding-13-maiq-x-fleetfoot/ MLP forum's #1 Fleetfoot fan also married to fleetfoot <

Recently Boinc found seven possible drugs found to cure childhood neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that has had no scientific progress in the past 20 years. In basic trails without mice there were all 100% effecting in curing this incurable cancer. the work was done with computers at home. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewNewsArticle.do?articleId=341 I don't have a computer so I'll just suppose it works as long as you have an email you can supprt the petition. It is a good idea, but I just worry about what installing a background running program may allow people to do easier once someone purchases that computer. its the same as any other program you would install. you can learn more about boinc here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkeley_Open_Infrastructure_for_Network_Computing Edited March 26, 2014 by pinkiepup
