Red stares at the situation with his mouth wide open.

"These are the times I wished I was an unicorn... " He finally mutters, pulling out his small knife as well from his backpack. A changeling was something he had never seen before, but he knew what it was from countless stories.

*An outcast of something... of course, how did I no think of that before... and him not wanting to go to Celestia... so obvious... that place is packed with unicorns. He was going to stab me in the back halfway on the rails.*

"Need any help with that?" He asks, slowly walking towards Lee as well.

 

((Well done mate. Now I wish I would've kept on moving to see the other outcome ))

Lee's eyes widen at Red's commemt. He stops walking backwards and stops. All fear leaving his face. "Finaly, retribution for my years as a detestible drone in that wicked King's service." Lee's eyes widen at Red's commemt. He stops walking backwards and stops. All fear leaving his face. "Finaly, retribution for my years as a detestible drone in that wicked King's service." Lee looks David right in the eye, then Red. "If you are going to kill me, make it quick please." As he says this, he sits down and bares his throat. David nods and brings his knife up, then pauses, head tilted to the side. He then lowers his weapon and says, "You are a unique specimen. You aren't fighting. Why is that?"

 

*Maybe because it's a trick and he's going to snap your neck the first chance he gets?* Red thought to himself while looking at the tip of his knife.

"It's a trap." Is the only thing he says to the new pony though. *Or are they both changelings? That would explain alot. Like why did he instantly knew one of us was his comrade...* It all seemed like a puzzle that was coming together. Red started looking back and forth at the two and decided to back away a few steps for now.

Celestia sat upon her throne looking down on Agririon and Seth. Smiling as if she knew what he was thinking, she says "Welcome back to Equestria Seth. I do apologize for shooting you down, but as you know, these are cautious times. I do also apologize for the less then welcoming committee, but again, I must be cautious." Turning her attention on to Mirage, she says "Ah, Private Mirage, has Captain Dash delivered the bomb to the labs yet?"

"She is delivering it as we speak your highness" he said saluting the princess. "Rainbow Dash should be finished with the bomb any second now. Is there anything I can do for you your highness before Dash gets back from delivering that bomb to the lab?"

David nods. "There's a lot you don't know kid. In fact, there's a lot the general public doesn't know. Like..." he pauses as you come to the end of the tunnel. "This spell stone. This stone is a beauty. You cast a spell with it or on it and it remembers it. The Shades were the only group to use it...Oh buck. I just...no I'm not going to kill him. The shades are gone anyways." He stops talking and regards Lewis thoughtfully. Then he smiles and says "see you there." Reaching out with his taps the stone, disappearing in a poof of sparks. As you look at the stone in bewilderment, you see a sign above it that says teleport.

" The shades?... who are they?..." Lewis asks himself. He sighs and reads the sign again. "Well this is certainly easier than teleporting using my own magic..." Then he mutters."Safer too.." He takes a deep breath and touches the stone. The air is sucked from his lungs as he is ported from the city. When he reappears he stumbles and gasps for air. "That wasn't easier than with my own magic..." He straightens up and looks around for David.

"They can't be traitors can they?...."

Upon hearimg Red's question, David laughs. "Nothing so official.I used to be, but not anymore. I'm just a veteran with a vendebta against changelings. He's," David points at Lewis, "a survivor I found in Canterlot. If you want to go that's fine, but you won't get in any trouble staying here. A-" David is cut off by a buzzing noise. Glaring back at Lee, he says, "Not trying to fly away are you?" Lee snakes his head and turns his back towards everyone. Instead of the usual insect wings most changelings have, he has two small stubs. "Can't" Lee replies, Hus voice neutral and emotionless. "They were cut off a couple yearsss ago."

Seth gave a slight glare at the princess. That welcome killed members of his team. Their blood was on his paws. Most died an honorless death during the initial attach. The ones who survived were shot on sight. In fear, he hid and ran. He still considered himself a traitor to his own people for running, so that is the only reason he stayed with Luna when their forces found him. However, he still wish it was him that died in the crash. It would have been more honorable then what he was doing now.

 

Without a word, the wolf nodded to the princess, keeping his eyes locked on the one who killed his brothers.

Dark Wing fallowed his brother into the cavern. "This is new." he said in surprise as he gets his first gimps of the school. "I know I don't remember much Paladin, but what do you think Princess Luna thinks that a school would need other than students and teachers. They have food and are very well hidden and protected in these caverns." as he looks around. "To be honest, it reminds me of the old days when we where in the academy...though they don't have it rough like we did..."

 

Dark Wing gave his brother a half smile, one of his fangs sticking out. "Our Princess knows best."

Paladin nods, a distracted look on his face. He half smiles, but his fangs just aren't in it. You and him check around, but all seems peaceful and the students seem happy. The place seems like the academy you and Paladin attended, only cleaner, and only run by other bat-ponies. Possibly a better then the old academy? As you head back to meet up with Paladin so you and he can head up to the crystal empire, you see what could only be a white alicorn walking down a hall. This being is obviously not celestia since it's mane isn't flowing, and you don't recognize it's cutie mark. As you turn to follow it, you hear Paladin yell, "Brother! Hurry up! We need to finish this mission so we can report back to Luna. Where are you? We need to go!"

Do you follow the mysterious pony or go to Paladin so you can finish your mission and return to Luna?

As you follow it, it seems to be walking faster until it's just out of your sight, though you can still hear it's hooves on the hard ground. Finally you turn a corner that you know leads to a dead end, and speed up, following the hoof steps sound. You round the corner as the sound dies and find...the room is empty. Confused, you walk in to the room. Suddenly a voice rings out behind you. It's a deep, melodious voice that seems to be filled with righteousness, "Beware! The one you hold dear is not the one you think. She's fallen to the side and something else is now in control." Whirling, you see a white alicorn stallion. He has blazing red eyes and a mane a shade of blue that reminds you of the deep sea. He's there one moment, then gone the next, leaving an echo of his warning. Paladin walks around the corner right then, a puzzled look on his face. "Brother, what are you doing down here, yelling?"

Celestia smiles. "No, my little pony, I would actually like you to accompany Agririon as he guards Seth. I need some kind of insurance against my sister, and I believe you are key."

Turning to Agririon, she says "This is an order. You are to in no way hurt, harm, or hinder Mirage. Do you understand? I'm quite certain my sister has contacted you by now, but that doesn't matter. She doesn't know about Mirage. Even if she does, you are to not raise a hoof, scythe, or sickle against him, in anyway shape, or form."

Turning to Seth, she says "There's nothing I have to do with you right now. I daren't lift a hoof against you as it might lead to unfavorable repercussions. The last time, I can say that was acting out of defence, but I won't lift hoof against you or your kind directly now. All I can do now is detain you and see what comes of it. Again, you have my deepest apologies it has come to this and that you have been put into this situation."

I now hope from the ashes of the sisters once mighty rule the ponies can prosper once again. Sadly, I fear that day will never come in my lifetime." Celestia's eyes flash with a dangerous fire at your comments and you find yourself leaving the ground, held in place by an aura of golden light. "Do Not Test My Patience Wolf!" Unconsciously, Celestia had switched to the canterlot voice, causing the whole building to shake and everyone inside it to stumble. ​"I Was Trying To Be Courteous To You! Maybe So Many Years Of Peace Has Left You Unfamiliar With The Ravages And Terrors Of WAR!" You feel the bubble of magic holding you start to contract, squeezing you, then Celestia seems to pause and take a breath. She releases you and closes her eyes a moment to regain her composure. When she opens them again, she seems to be back to normal. "My deepest apologies. I have been without rest for to long. I did not mean to lose my temper." She bows, ever the gracious and humble princess and hostess that she always seems to be. "I will take my leave now. Agririon. Please escort him to the dungeon and see about either getting Seth another cloud walking potion or have a unicorn perform a spell that will allow him to traverse our lands without danger." As she says this, you hear a very deep voice resonate around the room. "To late!" with those uttered from an unknown source, Seth vanishes from the throne room, a hole left where he was previously standing. Celestia's eyes widen. "Mirage! No time! Stop him from falling!"

Mirage springs into action! He flys through the hole Seth had made at such speed. "Almost...there...GOTTCHA!" He grabbed Seth in the nick of time and started flying back up to the palace. When they returned to Celestia's presence he asked, "What should we do now your highness?" Knowing he couldn't walk on clouds anymore.

Seth had just seen his life flash in front of his eyes. As the ground rapidly approach, he spun wildly. Thinking it was the end, he closed his eyes, ready to accept his fate.

 

He felt a strong impact on his ribs. Odd, he only felt the pain in his ribs... and otherwise felt fine... even as if he was still moving. Opening his eyes, he noticed he was in a guard's hooves. As he was brought up to the palace, Seth hung in the pony's grip.

 

"Well... if that was another form of intimidation Celestia, I... applaud your style. He said as he tried to calm his breaths.

Celestia's eyes were wide. "That was not my doing, I assure you." She took a deep breath then looked at Agririon and Mirage. "Someone please get him another potion or get a pegasus to cast the bucking cloud walking spell." The tension in her voice, and the fact that she just swore, made the room go quiet. "She closed her eyes and took another deep breath before opening them. "I'm going to retire to my room now. Agririon, heed my order about Mirage. Mirage, please keep an eye on Seth and Agririon." Saying this, she turns around and walks out of a side door, slamming it with a resounding bang.

Mirage still holding Seth in the air turned to Agririon "Go find some pony to give him the cloud walking spell. I'll stay here holding him and wait for your return." Mirage thought to himself "After these recent events I can't believe Celestia had sworn and not only that but I have never seen her get this angry at any pony before."

Agririon was silent for a moment before his cloak opened, revealing a perfectly cut crystal in his chest. It started to glow, and then, with a burst of light, a beam of light surrounded the wolf's feet. As he was set down, he sighed. "Alright then, Mister Seth Eclipse. Now might be the time to say it. You've been chosen by my... superior to come with me on a special mission. to attempt to unite Equestria again." His face was deadly serious. "The Fundamentals of the Universe- Order, Light, Chaos, Knowledge, Gravity, and Death- are all considering the removal of Celestia's and Luna's blessings- and, if that happens, it won't be long before they disappear... or, worse, are conquered by changelings. And, besides, when you are done, then you will actually be able to go back to your pack" He turned and began to walk out before pausing. "Don't believe me? I have proof. The Weaver was quite certain in the matter- you will be one of the threads woven into the tapestry of this war."

Now there was one thing in Red's head: Go to Celestia or stay with these two?

*Today can't get any worse, can it? Plus, these guys look like they know what they're doing. And who knows? Maybe they have their destination set also to Celestia. Well if not there, then out of the way of the war for sure. They did say they were retired.*

"Yeah, I can stay. For now." He said, putting his knife away.

Seth felt the clouds under his paws and relax slightly. Giving a little nod to his rescuer, he turned to Agririon. 

 

"Don't think I'm ungrateful, but you're saying I am a major importance to this war? Like I told Celestia, I never wanted to be part of it. By the code of the Wolven Empire, I shouldn't even be here. We are not to aid any side during a civil dispute. Exactly what is expected of me?" He asked more questioning tone.,

Agririon sighed. "I said nothing about the war, although it might prove to be a problem. No, the problem is going to be finding a room strong enough to confine Celestia's and Luna's magic until they realize that violence is not the answer." Chuckling lightly, he sighed. "To be absolutely, completely honest, I don't know. I..."

 

The other two in the room- Moonlight and Mirage- they will come as well. After that, you will go to find Rainbow Dash returning. You will compell her to come with you as well, although she will be reluctant. After this, move on through the ruins of Canterlot to find a band of four ponies- one of them an exiled changling- before moving to Apploosia. Choose your path wisely, young one, for the needle snagging could very well mean the end of Equestria as we know it.

 

He paused, tilted his head sideways, and looked at him. "Well, change of plans." Turning to the other two, he gestured to the others. "You and you. I've got 2,500 bits of various paychecks for various things under this cloak. I have no use for gold. Escort the wolf down to the surface and wait for me, and it's yours." He took out the various pouches and bags of bits before dividing up half of it between the two. "A payment on trust. Enjoy." He turned out to the door. "I will talk to you safely on the ground, but I have a certain blue pegasus taht I need to convince to accompany us."

"I was not yelling Paladin. I just wanted to do one final check of the caves before we leave. That was all." The voice echoed in his thoughts. Could this have been one of Celestia's tricks? Or could it have been something else. For now, he and his brother had a job to do. "So where is this train you mentioned? The sooner we get our job done, the sooner we can get to Manehatten. Where we can keep Princess Luna safe." Slight doubt filled his mind, though until his ruler gave him reason to doubt her, he would continue to fallow.
