I am so down for this. I know my english very well, and I play a few pc games, as well as xbox games.

 

I mostly play, and know about WoW, and specifically about classes, and how they are used. So I could help with new players needing information. (Mostly in the pvp scene, but I know pve as well)

 

I have skype, XBL, a microphone.

I have a decent PC. I have skype on my iPod, which works decently.

 

As far as multiplayer games go, I play TF2, LoL, L4D2, Borderlands, Starcraft broodwar, and a few other I don't remember. I'd love to do some SC games, but I am by no means an expert.

 

I'd be willing to do a solo LP of mechwarrior 4, diablo 2, HL2 and/or the episodes, and some others.

 

I have plenty of great PS2, DS, and GBA games, but I'm not sure how I'd record those :/

what if we spitted into groups on 4-5 and each group had an leader,recorder,main commentator,and one in charge of the video edit(maybe the one recording the whole thing)

 

Kinda neat idea.

Obviously we'd have to have a designated recorder and a designated editor (if not the same person).

I could do video editing for NA team if no one else will since I do have some experience in it but it is preferable for the recorder to do the editing (which I cannot do due to my poor pc limits)

 

As for a leader role or main commentator... well I guess we'll have to see who has the voice for it. I'd be happy to "lead" team NA but if someone were more qualified then who am I to argue

Diablo 2 could be done Multiplayer... I think? Idk it has been FOREVER since I've touched that game and I didn't pay too much attention to Multiplayer.

 

Diablo 3 is an upcoming game we could do when it comes out!

 

And for Handhelds games, well... I don't personally know of any recording equipment for those, but you could use ROMs of the handhelds. (example: Mother 3 is a GBA game so I plan to use a GBA emulator and English Fan Translated ROM!)

And yeah, I could use an emulator for GBA, but DS and PS2 would be a problem. I could output the PS2 to recording equipment, but that'd be too much work, and I don't have any such equipment lol.

That is pretty cool! I LOVE what those guys have done! M3 is like my favorite game... ever and I wouldn't have been able to experience it without their translation! *fanboy-squee*

 

But yeah I don't have money for such silly capture equipment so I go for the ROMs!

I am european and i kind of fear the idea of talking to a microphone or actually talking in general. Maybe i can get over it when forced in to the corner of boredom. Not to mention that i haven't played games at all in a while as it has been boring doing the same thing all the time, alone.

You can play they using hamachi. (well some mods might have private servers, but you know.. illegal)

I recommend checking out Median XL 2012

Also there is a crafty tool called D2SE Modmanager that can be used to play mods that use older versions of Diablo 2 (as some mods were never ported to newer version) OR so the vanilla version is not ruined incase you want to play that once in a while as well.

I'll make the following suggestion.

 

We can start off with a single channel. But I'm guessing with a great many people participating it might get very messy, very soon. I'm imagining the TotalBiscuit situation where he had to split into two channels because Starcraft II was drowning the rest of the channel periodically.

 

So after we have this thing started off. Each main group of people or person splits off into a dedicated channel and we place shared content on the main channel (Like Terraria and Magicka playthroughs). But have separate channels for things like Let's Play Half Life 2 or Let's Play Pokemon Blue. But it all depends on the barrage of content we can create on little time.

 

I am of the idea, that if I start doing this. I may end up throwing away content I do not like. If I contribute, it should be of high quality.

We will start off with a main channel.

And if we have to many ppl we will make 2-3 new channels (Depending on if we get Enough Australian gamers).

 

When it comes to singleplayer games you should upload them on you OWN channel. Since it has nothing to do with us.

The channel whould be floded with content.

And before someone makes some sort of a lets play/commenatys the leaders of the group need to approve it.

I have a sort of illegal version. I bought it legit a long time ago, but through the years, I lost my key for the original. So I had to use a keygen for the install. I still have my original expansion key, but both have to be legit for online play

 

Also, the only mod I've used is plugy, which let's you use some multiplayer features in single player, such as a massively increase stash size, and the ability to transfer items between characters. Because I always find epic swords in my sorceress game >_<

I would recommend that nopony decides to start playing games that are pirated. At the very least you can link Blizzard stuff to your online Battle.net account. And you could get Diablo 2 really cheap.

Diablo 2 costs like.... 15-20 dollars.

Dont know if you can buy it on battle.net tho.

You can buy it on Battle.net. 15 dollars for a retail copy in the battle.net store, less if you buy digital I think.

I have an extra copy of both original and expansion that i could share (it is my "friends" who isn't playing anymore and left it here years ago after LAN party). Only problem is that i am not sure which cd-key i used to install, not that it makes any difference if i am not planning to play on battle.net. I quit vanilla version ages ago and have no wish to go back to it. I only play mods now.
