For me, I saw someone calling MLP gay in the comments of some YouTube video, and I gave him a good example of why people like MLP, and told him he should give the show a chance. He calls me an idiot, then I respond back saying something like "Ok, I use basic logic to explain why people enjoy the show and you call me an idiot? Yawn. Come at me when you have an actual rebuttal. He makes some other snarky comment, and I forgot what I said, but at the end I was like "Logic 1 You 0. Then I mention in another post how he's closed minded because he goes around hating on things that have no effect on him. He responds with something like "whatever, MLP is gay bro". At that point there was no point in responding anymore so I haven't.

Wow that guy is an asshole if he thinks MLP is a gay show because this show is one of the best shows out there. He should actually do some research before assuming and this is what makes him a moron. Seriously bro why don't you watch the show first before criticizing a show before you have even seen it.

I was messing around on an Ace Attorney video on YouTube, having said nothing about ponies whatsoever; I just had a Rarity avatar. That's it. No one seemed to mind, either, until this one dude showed up.

Boom, a couple of hours later, I go to the video and I got 40-something upvotes (and got flagged for spam, I should add.)

He got no upvotes and was flagged for spam.

Yeah, I really don't get it. I'm guessing maybe most of these people were victims of the pony wars, and they still haven't let go of their hate for anything pony related, and the other haters are mostly bandwagoners.

So I was sitting down during a con, we were tired, and I was holding my Derpy hug-me backpack (which, by the way, holds barely anything) and this guy comes up to us, more specifically me. He looks at my bag then me, shakes his head and is like, "Wtf man, really, ponies?" (Something along those lines, it was a while ago). So I stand up (I'm not exactly short), look him dead in the eye and go, "You got a problem, mate?"
He actually looked somewhat scared by me, which was surprising. He then just kind of  backed away and went back to doing whatever he was doing.

If I encounter a hater, I'll just simply ignore them. For all I care, they can just keep on hating for who knows how long, I'll be simply drinking coke, reclining in my office chair. They can waste all the time they want on the subject, I'll be carrying on with life. 

 

Though if I do encounter a stubborn one, I'll ask if they like a cartoon or something that extreme traditionalist find offending (for whatever reason.) If they say yes, I'll ask why they like that thing and carry on from there. Then I'll point out they are hypocrites, say, "Have a nice day," and carry on. (Though it goes into the bottom of the bucket, screaming and yelling will be involved, probably from both sides.)

That dude could've had a bad day or he might have a mental health condition, yah just never really know. You should always just ignore users like him as their more trouble than their worth. You shouldn't get worked up about something somebody else says online especially since this is the number one source for opinion abuse.

A hater said there was nothing manly about MLP, so I posted a video of Rainbow Dash making the sonic rain nuke. The hater said there was too many rainbows so I said rainbows can be manly. After all, it's the light spectrum being forcibly ripped apart as its refracted through a geometrically crystalline structure such as H2O or a crystal. Nope not a girly word in that definition.
