Equinox was sitting  in the park look at random videos on his phone before he turned it off and stood up. "What should I even do today" Equinox asked him self as he looked around. "Maybe I should head on home I did get here early in the morning anyways" He said to himself as he started to walk on back home.

Another day has started in his hometown, Ponyville. After a quick snack, he went out for a short walk in the park. He looked at his watch to see what time it is.

 

"Hmm, still plenty of time to burn,"

 

He then sat on the bench, watching the scenery. His His Cutie Mark pin on his collar signifying he's Captain.

Ambrosia left Sugar Cube Corner, holding a bag of baked goods in her arms. She took a doughnut(one with pink icing, and plenty of sprinkles) from the bag with one hand, and took a small bite out of it. "Mhmm, " she exclaimed, "this town is great! The bakers here are so friendly, too!"

 

Ambrosia took a small walk through the town. It was still early in the morning, and the residents were still just waking up and starting their busy day. But they all seemed happy enough, and it wasn't uncommon for a stranger to greet her with a friendly smile and wave. "I could see myself getting used to this place!"

 

Her walk brought her to a park, and feeling like it was time to rest her feet, decided to sit on a bench.

Ambrosia noticed somebody already sitting there, and she turned to him with a friendly smile, "hello!" She tilted her bag of baked goods to the stranger, "want a snack?"

He was surprised at the offer. Then again, everyone here is super friendly, so why skip the offer.

 

"Thank you," he said, taking one. "That's very kind of you. I'm Guardian Braveheart.  Nice to meet you ma'am."

 

She was this beautiful pegasus. A very friendly one at that.

 

Oh goodie, new firend. he thought.

"Guardian Braveheart, huh? Sounds like the name of somepony very important!" Ambrosia let out a small, enthusiastic giggle. "My name's Ambrosia, by the way."

 

She looked up at the sky, noticing there was still a lot of time left in the day, "and I've already made a new friend! And that's not even counting the pink pony at the bakery who said she wanted to through me a party! " she thought to herself. She had declined the pink baker's offer, but she still saw it as a sign of this town overall friendliness.

"Well it should be," he said. "I'm the Captain of the Guards. I work in Canterlot with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna."

 

He leaned back on the bench. He took a bite out of the pastry he was given to him.

 

"So, you're name is Ambrosia," he continued. "What a cute and sweet little name. And with a sweet attitude to match."

Scarlet was sitting at her favorite cafe, having some coffee and cheesecake. She was glad to be in Ponyville. Her band had just finished their tour, and she had decided to go down to Ponyville from Canterlot to have a nice little holiday, away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city. She takes out a photograph of her band, that also included her best friend Daechiril and her godfilly Serenity.

Solar entered thee cafe. He was REALLY hungry. After working throughout the night, he was tired and starving. He sat down, and ordered a cake, along with a small order of hay fries. Once he received them, he sat down, and looked around at thee crowd, quite happy.

Scarlet noticed the stallion walk in and smiles at him, not really caring if he saw her or not, but he looked tired. She smiles again and walks over to him, "Hi there, long day?" she asks with a slight giggle. "mind if I sit with you, it was kind of lonely and boring over there by myself"

"Ohh...ummm...sure.. I dont mind. And yeah, worked through thee night on a new Astronomy project, took a lot out of me. Dosent help when you are already lonely" He says.

 

He extends a hoof to the mare, with a blush, "I am Solar dust, and you are?" he asks the mare.

 

He blushes a little.

"Hmm cute name, mine's Scarlet. Just plain Scarlet." Scarlet says, shaking his hoof before sitting down opposite him. She then takes a sip of her coffee, "Hmm Astronomy huh? That's looking at the night sky and stuff isn't it? Seen Princess Luna any time you watch those beautiful skies?"

"Yeah, it is studying stars, galaxies, planets, and all that jazz. I have meet Luna once or twice, but that is because I work for the royal archives and the university of Canterlot. Today is the first day  of my vacation" He smiles to the mare.

 "oh cool, yeah, my band just finished our tour for a few years, perhaps you've heard of us? Twisted Fate?" She asks, taking another sip and looking at Solar, "hmmm he's kind of cute, kinda mopey, but maybe I can change that" she thinks to herself, "say, before you said that you were already lonely, how come?"

"Hmm, I think I may have some of your records somewere in my house. You are pretty good." He says

 

then she asked her question, and Solar flinched a little.

 

" Well.... ever since school, I have had little contact with my friends..... I have never EVER had a mare friend...just..well... I dont really have anyone right now" He shrugs , " I guess I am just not interesting to people.

"Yeah, I guess I can see where you are coming from. I guess I was lucky in that regard, my bestfriend from school and I are still best friends, well I guess it helps that she's married to the guitarist of my band and I am their filly's godmother" she says with a smile, then lifts his chin, "and hey, you're still young, I'm sure a mare will come to you soon enough."

"It's possible, but I doubt it. Hell, I am 23 and I have'nt even lost virginity yet. Guess that shows you were I am heading Romantically" He says with a sad sigh.

 

Heh, you have a mare that is actually interested in you, right here, and you still dont take the next step... He thinks.

Scarlet smiles sweetly, "Oh darling, you're not the only one. I'm 26 and well..." she leans in and whispers, "so am I. A virgin I mean" she says, as she looks into his blue eyes, "Wow, his eyes are beautiful" she thinks to herself, "don't come across too eager, let things ease into it, take things slow. Get to know him." She smiles, "You sure seem like a very interesting stallion to me. I'd love to get to know you better."

He got up, looking at Ambrosia.

 

"Well, it was nice meeting you," he said. "If you want, I'll be going to a cafe and get a drink. You can tag along. I don't mind having company."

 

As he walked, he heard a clank on the ground. He than noticed he still had his sword. 

 

"Ugh, really, I forgot to leave this. Whatever, just let it hang."

 

As he got to the cafe, he notice two ponies talking. Not to disturb them, he sat on the table a bit far from them. The Cafe isn't that packed, so it's a bit quiet. He ordered cappuccino and a cinnamon roll.

 

"Well, since I got you, why not I give you a polish."

 

He unsheathe  his Sapphire sword and started to polish the crystal blade.

"Hmm, well, come to think of it, I could use a drink myself!" Ambrosia happily chirped. She got up from the bench and quickly brushed off any crumbs that may have been on her clothes, and daintily followed after Braveheart, practically skipping along the way. 

 

Arriving in the cafe, she noticed two ponies already talking to each other. She walked up to the counter and ordered a caffe macchiato. She walked back towards Guardian Braveheart, but became noticeably apprehensive when he unsheathed his sword and started polishing it. She shook the slight hesitation off though, and sat down by her new friend anyways.

"Sorry if it seems weird," he said. "It was a gift when I became Captain. It was made in the Crystal Empire, so you can guess who it's from."

 

He sheathe  his sword again and faced her.

 

"Anyways, it was nice of you to come along. Some days, even being an audience with the Regal sisters, can be a bit lonesome at some points."

"Lonesome, huh?" Ambrosia echoed before taking a sip from her macchiato. "Don't you have friends, or subordinates? Or friends who are subordinates?" She casually asked; not meaning to pry, but genuinely curious.

 

"I mean, you're a captain, right? Seems like you'd have plenty of ponies to interact with." She tilted her head slightly to the left, and smiled. "And you're a nice guy, too!"

"Friends... they're pretty far away from here," he said. "And at the Palace, I always have the Princess Celestia and Princess Luna as company. Other than that, pretty lonesome."

 

He took a sip from his drink.

 

"Thanks, I'm always nice to anypony I meet. Guess that's one way of making friends."

"Mhm!" Ambrosia replied enthusiastically, nodding her head a bit. "Kindness is generally considered a cornerstone to any friendship."

 

Her tail flicked slightly, and she looked down at her drink, her smile dropping for a brief moment. She took a much longer sip from it this time, and then set it down, her head popping back up along with her cheerful expression.

"Oh, would you like another drink?" he asked. "I can buy it for you, my treat."

 

He took another sip from his cup, leaving a white foam line on his lip.

 

"And yeah, I guess kindness is a good friendship starter. And you miss, are really kind to anyone you meet."

 

He gave of a little smile at that point.

"Oh no, I don't think another drink will be necessary. But thanks for the offer!" She said in response to his offer. She purposely omitted any further comment on the subject of kindness.

 

However, looking at the stallion's little smile, she couldn't help but giggle, but she tried to cover her mouth with her hand so as to not seem rude. "Um, you've got a little something on your face..." she said quitely, so as to not draw any other ponies attention. She handed a clean napkin over to him.
