That's an interesting question...but tough to answer. Most of the people here in the real world who are big in the world of fashion are also shallow and annoying, and that doesn't describe Rarity. If there was some kind of beautiful fashion diva who was also known as a very nice, down-to-earth person, maybe a big charity donor, that would be it. I don't know enough about the fashion world to guess.

I wouldn't compare her to your average fashionista, to be perfectly honest; sure, she gets a bit caught up in herself at times, but she's got a good, giving heart and is willing to put the ponies she cares about ahead of her own personal goals and desires. Like, in "Rarity Takes Manehattan," she ran out on a contest she was going to win just to try and fix the problems she had created with her friends; your average fashionista (see: Suri Polomare) wouldn't do that. The fashion industry is a tough, harsh, soul-breaking business, along with nearly everyone in it. Rarity isn't like that, though.

 

So, if she were LIKE a person, not be one, there's only one person in the real-world fashion industry with a heart of gold to match hers:

there aren't many nice people in fashion because for the most part fashion is all superficial and 100% aesthetic. So it attracts many many people who think that way. That's why our favorite marshmallow pone is such a rarity.

I could imagine a quite sassy, fashionable and prestigious person, I don't know why but I'm thinking of Tyra Banks if her personality was mixed together with the other judges on America's Next Top Model, I don't know to be honest. xD

Rarity is a nice, sweet, generous, kind-hearted mare who has flaws and she fights to keep them under control; Wintour is one of the most superficial people in the business, having the mean boss from "The Devil Wears Prada" based off of her as well as Photo Finish's character design (little known fact I'd just like to throw in there; no, it's not Lady Gaga, Photo Finish's design is based solely off of Anna Wintour.)

 

Rarity is far from being an Anna Wintour; Wintour, as talented as she is, is one of the major reasons the fashionista stereotype exists; a stereotype Rarity breaks

Yeah, I kinda misread the thread title at first. I thought it was asking who Rarity would like.

I have to agree with the poster who mentioned Tyra Banks. To me she comes off as attractive ,sassy, and stylish, but not bitchy- just like Rarity. Maybe also a designer like Donna Karan, who has also done extensive charitable work.

Well, she would have to be someone luxurious and wonderful to accustom to her personality.

 

The best possible one I can think of is possibly like Mila Kunis.

 

I'm sure there's plenty more out there who she can relate better, but I'm not much of an expert at who can she relate to.
