Stellar Eclipse (aka the OC in the Trade Ya episode)

I saw it, and immediately thought "That's someone's OC." It looked very pony-creatorish

Not really into that sort of thing, not going to lie, but I have no problem with this after hearing what it was for

As long as the show isn't gonna start filling up with black-and-red alicorns, I think I'm cool.

 

And honestly, the only thing about him that looked even vaguely "bad oc" like was his hair, but I don't think it really looks *bad*, just a little unusual compared to the show's usual style.  It would make sense for the style to be catching on in Equestria or something.

And I wouldn't be too surprised if they started including a few more random background ponies with a vague OC-Creator-style so they would stand out less in the future.

I knew this pony looked too much like a subpar OC. The color scheme is... well, not all that great, to be honest. I don't think he fits the style of the show at all. His colors are dull, and the purple in his mane is out of place because it doesn't really fit with this deep black. If it weren't for the purple (or if the purple was changed to fit his mane more) and if the mane were a bit lighter/brownish, I likely wouldn't have noticed.

 

That being said, I think it's great that they did this for someone like that. Bring a little sunshine to his life. Just next time, if they DO decide to do a kindness like this, it'd be best if they made it blend in more with the actual show artwork. (A few changes to the tints of the pony would actually make it look like it was a part of the show and wouldn't be difficult to achieve.) 

 

Also, really cool that he actually got to VOICE the character. I mean, one thing to put the character in the show. Another thing entirely to let him do some voice acting. I'd be thrilled if I actually go to be my own character in a show.

I have not seen the episode yet so I don't know how long he's in it... but...

 

I think it's very nice of them to do something like this, and I think it's quite cool as well ..I would think it'd be quite funny if some famous people had their OCs to be in the show You know... like in The Simpsons c:

 

Though I think it's quite sad that his mother got to know that people were drawing clop art of his OC. People shouldn't be doing that for some disabled kid's character... it's just wrong :/ ..but that's another story.

I dont know what kind of asshole youd have to be to be jealous just because his OC is there and YOURS isnt, but of course someone somewhere is insanely jealous. > >

 

What DHX did for that kid is amazing and it just made me lone that adorable character even more. The fanart I consitered of that pony is now a definate~

When I first viewed the episode that character screamed OC to me. But I'm glad that he got his wish to be in an episode of MLP and hope he recovers.

 

Plus we get another stallion in the show that played at least a minor part and those are few and far between.

I thought it was nice that he got his OC featured in the show! However, I'd feel kind of weird making fanart/fanfics about him, since its a real person...and there's always gonna be that one person that will decide to make R34 of the poor kid's OC
