It's been confirmed that Delernil has dropped out of the game. It was fun while it lasted, but no hard feelings. I know how it feels to be too shy to declare that you feel uncomfortable in an RP. It happens.

 

It would be a bit of work to redact all interactions with him, so I think we can just imagine that he was somepony else all along: @DukeofCanterlot, I would like to see your character sheet before I officially confirm you into the game.

I'll hold off on making a post for now until DukeofCanterlot is all prepped. As I'm assuming Number Cruncher would almost certainly be larger than Kay Dreamer, he should go before her on the pony-tower.

 

Eclipse, would Anala still be stronger than a stallion who may be slightly larger than her? If she is, Number Cruncher and Kay Dreamer may be able to give her the boost she needs to climb up, and Number Cruncher could go after her. =D

I have a post half-written, which would work best once everypony else has arranged themselves into the tower. (Otherwise I'd be making assumptions that they have already done so, and I don't want to god-mod.) I'll hang back for now, but I'll post the moment I read that they're all there. =)

Okay, I'll confirm that.

Number Cruncher was shrunk along with Blaze, Kay, Scrooblegrive and Anala. It was also his idea to trap the snake when we were at the pond.

 

@, @@Scribblegroove, @@Kay Dreamer, @@DukeofCanterlot, until further notice, the rule is reinstated (to the best of your ability) please post at least once per day.

 

Blaze is kind of stuck at the bottom of a giant pile of ponies, so he can't do much of anything apart from shout encouragement and exercise his legs.

Aw, thanks for the link and feedback! I actually just created her last night. XD But thank you! I will definitely check out that thread! I will try my best not to be disappointed... its just cuz I've always had this strange fascination with shrinking and stuff like that, and I can't believe I didn't see this sooner. >.< But anyways, its alright, and I hope you guys have fun with the roleplay! :D

I just got a post up. @@DukeofCanterlot, I've tried to pull Number Cruncher into conversation, so you could go ahead and post next. (Also, what do we call him? By his full name? Or does he have a nickname? If he doesn't, I can absolutely see Kay Dreamer assigning him a few, haha.)

At this time it would seem the stack from bottom to top is Blaze, Scribblegroove, Number, Anala and soon to be posessing Kay. Assuming this stack is stable, Kay will need to make a little bit of a jump to get to the edge of the rail.

Just to be clear, Kay has used her magic to place Anala on the stack, yes? And then she's going to climb up herself?

@Kay Dreamer, rails have highest adhesion at the boundary between burnished (shiny) track edges and unworn (dull/rusty) parts of the rail.

If you can get a hoof over the rounded edge and up to the top part, you should probably be able to pull yourself up.

Number Cruncher's spell succeeds.

 

Kay Dreamer's assistance levitation spell has a good chance of succeeding.

 

@Kay Dreamer, @, Blue Eclipse, what you just posted I call a 'suspended trust post'. It suspends an action in half between two different posts by two different users (Kay and yourself), and then trusts that the other user will complete the other half of the action via your prompt.

While it doesn't directly cause any problems to the RP as a whole, it can put all posts on pause until the action is resolved by the player you wish to interact with. It may also force another Player to post in a contrived situation, which can feel awkward or forced.

For future note, I would prefer that everyone (as necessary, and within reason) simply assume control of the action so that you can complete all of it in one post, even if part of it depends upon actions by another player. To resolve the issue of taking command of a PC that doesn't belong to you, talk with that player in private messages, or here in OOC, to ask "Hey, is it cool if I assume Kay grabs Anala by the hooves after Kay says 'jump and grab my hooves!', and I make Anala jump for it?". If Kay says yes, then Blue Eclipse can simply say that Anala jumps for Kay, and succeeds in the grapple.

Otherwise, I'm going to take the pause as a prompt to roll for probability of success, which might lead to me informing you that the action fails-- unless Kay posts a response in the game that Anala and Kay's grapple succeeds, before I have a chance to roll for success here in OOC.

Adding onto what @@Blue, just said: Assuming success when the other player has already prompted toward what they'd like to happen would certainly help to speed the action-y bits along a little! Worth a mention, because it feels like we've been stuck by these train tracks forever. Everyone seems too nervous to make assumptions about anybody else's character; even small ones.

 

I don't mind at all if anyone assumes logical actions for Kay Dreamer if I've prompted that action in my previous post. And if you're unsure, message me! I don't bite. ;P

 

It'll also help @@Scribblegroove and I, because we tend toward longer posts. (I know I'll often refrain from posting until I feel I have a fair amount to contribute.) That's hard to pull off when all we're doing is reacting to the actions of those around us.

 

And I have to ask - Blue, why on earth do you know so much about the adhesion points of railway tracks?!
