It's not likely that the CMC will be shown grown up unless there is a timeskip in the series finale.

The fact that they don't have cutie marks is fuel for the writers so I don't think they will grow up.

 

^ This. Honestly, I don't think we are going to see them get cutie marks until a very long time. And when hat happens, I would take it as a sign that the end of the series is near.  It's pretty much this.

Not completely grow up, but I do have very strong hopes in seeing them gain their Cutie Marks before the series ends.

 

I was so disappointed at that troll at the end of "Flight to the Finish". Damn you and your trolling, Hasbro. xD

 Aside from that, I don't see them being portrayed as adult mares in anything other than a "what if" episode, where they imagine what the future will be like...

It would be awesome,seeing them get their CutieMarks (Which I'm sure we will) and then see them grown up into adult mares; it would be possible,maybe  in the Grand Finale of the show,with a timeskip.

 

Usually shows tend to don't make their characters grow,like in the simpsons,but FiM has showed that it can happen,look at Fluttershy for example,or at Twilight,which is even more evident,seeing the CMC with their cutie marks is just matter of time,what really gets me is that maybe we could see them as adults in the end,that will be really awesome.

Nah, I could actually see an episode about them imagining a future where they never got their cutie marks, and ended up with dead-end jobs shoveling cow manure or something of the sort.
