Well I don't think a lot of Bronies would want humans running around, but Tirek doesn't look like he's even half human in this version.

 

As someone in another topic said, it looks like he might be half ape half horse or something crazy like that.

Think some of you are confused on who Tirack is:

 

 

He is your G1 cliche villian we know nothing about, other then that he's a centaur like creature, who has a bag with a magic that we can only relate to as "The Power of Darkness". His goal, "To create the Night that never Ends". To do this, he needs ot capture 4 little ponies, and transform them into these dragon like creatures to pull his Midnight Carriage in order to create this ever lasting night.

Actually, I'm pretty sure we all know who Tirek is considering that we're all talking about the dude.

 

But ya know, I'm not against him being on here, just some people have a problem with them bringing back an older villain.

 

Which to me is silly, because the Mane Six are either based off of older ponies or are just straight up older ponies brought back, and Spike is from G1 as well.

The idea of bringing him back as a poltential villian is possible, however he'd had to be seriously developed, as he was lacking in just about everything in FireFly's Big Adventure for those of us who know.

 

There's got to be more to him then creating forever Midnight, and since Nightmare Moon does that, he can't anymore, we've seen it so scratch that off the list. The idea that he wants to enslave all the ponies and turn them into monsters could be a little different to the concept of King Sombra with the "changing the ponies into monsters" but why does he want to do that? He doesn't like Equestria the way it is? Or he finds the only way to take over is to turn all the ponies into his minions, its alot to go on so...meh

 

I just can't forsee him being brought back unless they come up with something to make him "evil" and compelling

I think they'll probably give him a better backstory than he had in G1.

 

Lauren Faust probably had Tirek partially in mind when she created Nightmare Moon, so that's probably why they had a similar goal.

 

According to the spoilers I've seen so far, it looks like Tirek wants to rule over them for some reason, so he could just be your typical "I want to rule you all!" villain.

Meghan McCarthy says the S4 finale villain has "some serious issues". And here I thought she meant the Mane-iac when she first brought it up many months ago (though I can't remember when or where; I just recall her saying something along those lines).

 

EDIT: Now I remember, it's from her Twitter Q&A right before S4 began. Well, now she's clarified it as the finale's villain.

Also Nightmare Moon didn't do anything that would describe her as evil.

Tirek is a satanic archetype, for your information.

The Rainbow of Darkness is supposed to be a weapon of corruption, and he wants to use it to corrupt the entire world. OUR world.

He was the most evil and threatening villain of the MLP franchise, so respect him, he has the voice of the original Transformers narrator.

Also, he's no rip-off, unlike the other G4 characters and villains. or everything, actually.
