Would you like for Celestia to be your country's ruler?

By ruler I mean President/Prime Minister etc.? Do you think she'd do a good job and would you vote for her? How would you see her running things differently from your current leader?

 

For me, I would vote for her, she would have everypony's best interest in mind and less corruptible by politics.

Yes, but only if Luna is the ruler as well. They're a package deal for me. I'm sure they'd do great on their own but they're so much better together.

Well yeah because the United States needs people who know what they're doing. Also Luna for Vice President, Cadence somewhere in the branches, and Twilight......record keeping?

I think an assumption would have to be made that they (if Luna is involved too) could acclimate to our technology/culture and relatively more predatory/aggressive mindset. That, and the fact we are not the most moral of species.

Assuming Celestia could accept our nation after coming to terms with that? Yeah, I would think she could be a good leader, though if she replaced the president in the US's current government structure, honestly I don't think she could do much--from what I gather our president's power to change things is limited pretty well by the other two branches of government (moreso than we realize even), especially congress. And, if she abided by the term lengths and limits... I don't see her doing a huge amount of positive change in that time period, where a human politician would probably know a lot more of what they could do to try to guide the country--Celestia seems like she'd be slow to act just because of all the hoops she'd have to jump through to adapt; I think she'd be more devoted and moral than many politicians, just disadvantaged if forced under our rules and regulations.

 

Ideally... it would be a setup closer to what she has, in that she has more power to change things, and can rule for a long period of time to provide consistency. It seems like our nation (USA) kinda jumps back and forth a bit attitude-wise because of the different influence swings between our parties as presidents and congressmen swap allegiance and ideals in a relatively short time during key events (by way of being replaced, naturally).

Celestia, ideally, could be a bit of a rock in that, yes, she may not fully conform to the people's current mindset, but she could likely keep us on a more stable path, and be less prone to extremism. ...Though it's safe to say she'd garner her own following of both supporters and violent naysayers, I imagine.

 

Celestia for president, Luna for vice.

This coming from the moron who couldn't even tell the difference between Cadence and Chrysalis? This coming from the one who expected hiding the magic in Twilight to work, despite Twilight being blatantly shown everywhere on windows? 

 

Celestia is a nice pony and I think she's cool, but she's not a good politician. Politicians HAVE to be cruel at points, something Celestia simply can't do. She spoils her subjects rotten and acts like that grandma that never punishes you but just gives you a slap on the wrist.

 

Celestia would be a great diplomat or leader of a department(department of children?), but a president she is not

 

Ironically, Luna, who I hate, would fit better since she, unlike Celestia, can cross the line
