So I guess I should introduce myself, I'm EquineSpector, a play on my usual alias TerranSniper/Spector. Im a closet Brony, but That doesn't mean I'm not proud to be one, But ALMOST everyone I know is a hater. With a FEW exceptions. Otherwise I joined the herd late April after I made the fateful decision to try and watch a few episodes to see why it was so hyped up by the internet. Then I watched a few more epidsodes, then I saw the KYM article. And I began sketching Ponies, and the rest is history... So, that's my story, "it's a secret to everyone". But thanks for taking the time to read this!

Oh, looking through the other posts I probably should add that my favorite MANE 6 pony is Twilight (love the color purple) and I found the site through google.

Hey man welcome to the forums, glad to have you with us, and as a recommend I'd suggest visiting to Roleplay section, its good for killing time, and for letting out some of your pent up anger and also to create a RP to express your self.

And again welcome to the forums I hope you enjoy your time here and maybe find a way out of that closet, here's hoping to a better, rainbow coloured future.

Welcome to the forums! Closet brony? Well I have some advice that I'll share.

The way I break the ice with people about me being a brony is that I start with the words, "Hey, there's these men who like My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic called bronies. They watch this show because they think it's good."

If they have a friendly reaction, tell them that you took a peek at the show and you liked it for *insert whatever reasons here.* Tell them how great the show is but don't go too far and force them to watch! Good examples are like the adult humor like the spiked punch and John De Lancie as Discord, who's also Q in Star Trek:TNG (If they're a Trekkie too).

If they are rude or have a hostile reaction towards it, laugh it off and drop the subject, move on. It's alright, ignore those people. True friends will be more open than that. I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the advice! And for the Trek thing as well! Well, I guess I could try to maybe talk about it in they way you put it, but mainly I'm going to try and stick to dropping the occasional reference here and there, but Otherwise thanks for the advice!

I've been able to out myself as a brony to my friends by mentioning fan events I want to go to. Like, I would talk about planning to go to a con, and when they ask what it's for, I just straight up tell them. I've had pretty positive reactions, but then again I keep my friends very close.

Anyway sorry for rambling, welcome!

Hi! ^^

Welcome to the forums!!!

A late response is better than no response at all, right? ^^

Anyways, we're thrilled to have you here, apart of our fabulous community! ^^

Everyone here i super friendly, so there's no need to be a closet Brony here! Although your situation is perfectly understandable, my friend. ^^

Oh my gosh! I see you're a Twilight Sparkle fan! Put 'er there, friend! ^^ (\

She has a fan club thread, here's a link if you'd like to join "the winning side". ^^

Please remember! If you ever need any help, or may have a question, don't hesitate to send a PM to me, a staff member, or just any member in general! We're all super friendly here, all I can say is welcome home, my dear friend. ^^

Have a wonderful time during your say (which I hope is for a very very long time! ^^), and I'll see you around the forums! ^^ (\

It's always nice to see somepony else who found the show late like I did.  I've only been here a couple of months myself.  Great to have you onboard!  And I'd just like to add that I hope you decide to come out at some point, and I truly hope you're met with acceptance.  It always saddens me to hear when bronies don't feel like they can come out to their friends or family.
