At least, not in the way you probably think he does. Even by Christian standards, the concept of Satan in the form of "the Devil" is completely ludicrous. The idea that a malevolent deity "makes" people commit horrible acts is one that promotes backward-thinking and, frankly, discourages personal accountability; why take responsibility for your own actions when you can utter the classic excuse, "The Devil made me do it!"? All "Satan" realistically refers to is a set of values that are adversarial to the teachings of the Church; hence the literal meaning of the word Satan as "adversary". Trust me, nothing is going to pop out of your "DVD" (whichever season or movie that's referring to) and possess you or spew forth hellish demons. 10/10 best post in the thread I would be shocked if this topic wasn't a troll topic to be honest. The fact that anyone would think there is any form of Satanism in MLP is ludicrous. Ponies are also very naked...so if you ever oggle the plot, sorta breaking the bestiality thing. By that logic, anyone who watches the show is into bestiality, considering the ponies' plots get shown constantly throughout almost every episode. Colorful ponies? Eh... I guess it's about magic, right? At least from what I know catholics consider all the magic "evil" (despite Jesus using something that is magic by definition and the fact that someone called it "miracle" does not change that fact). Well, from what I know satanism is described as something evil, bad. Now tell me... how is Fluttershy bad? Or Pinkie Pie? Because only bad characters from MLP end up being defeated by mane 6. Is it about Luna and Celestia? Yeah, they might be interpreted as goddeses, but by all means - point out single kid that worships them after watching MLP. And don't look upon catholic websites. Some certain catholic people stop at nothing including lies (that are actually forbidden by this religion, oh the irony) to prove their point. Just look on this forum. I personally fail to see anyone that might be satanic. And even if someone was - You know that it requires something else to become satanist? And show about colorful cheerful ponies is last thing that may turn You into one? Do You have this epic discovery from catholic websites already? Well. Those websites also imply that entire metal genre is satanic. Do You agree with it? If yes then did You know that some metal bands are even christian? It disgusts me how many catholic websites now spread panic among catholics and point out that literally everything is evil (including internet that they use to spread this bullshit). I literally just ran out of ideas of what might remind of satanism here. Even the things I've pointed out are pretty ridiculous. Don't look for satanism everywhere. If thinking hard enough You can see satan everywhere including places where he is not (if he even exists). MLP is not satanic, never was and last thing Hasbro would try to do with this show is turning kids into satanists. Seriously, this theory is beyond ridiculous. I hope it was just trolling. Ps. Just to make it clear - I have nothing against catholics. But I dislike all this paranoic "omg, satan!" behaviour. It's ridiculous. Isn't this religion teaching You NOT to fear evil? Well I half-jokingly speculate that Jesus would hang out with ponies because yes, he loves humanity and wishes only the best for us, but at the same time he as a person (as far as I interpret it) would probably just find Equestria easier to deal with. It's sort of like teachers in school. They (if they're doing their jobs, anyways) love their students and want to help them excel, but at the same time they like hanging out with others who aren't their students, you know? Yeah I get ya, need some time to unwind. Though I like to think that Jesus' disciples were also his friends that He could confide in as well as those He taught.
