Would you watch MLP if it had a Laugh track?

I think it would be funny if they did it in one episode just to add a bit of retro flair and did it in a way that would poke fun at the general concept, but as far as something recurring, I don't really think it belongs. Laugh tracks are best used in goofy old sitcoms, not modern cartoons.

It would ruin the show for me personally. Laugh tracks for sitcoms are one thing, but here it would be more like the track exists solely as a cue for the actual audience to laugh, as if to say "That joke was funny. It's time to laugh hysterically now at how funny it was", which if you have to remind your audience to laugh then chances are it wasn't all that funny.

Yeah I hear you. That would work just once. Like have Pinkie say something silly *cue canned laughter* and just don't acknowledge it. As a fourth wall power gag. It would come out of nowhere and get a laugh.

Good God no. I hate laugh tracks in ANYTHING. I didn't realize it until I started watching sit coms without them and when I would watch a tracked show it felt too jarring. I notice it too much now. Don't tell me what's funny and trust the material!

 

Note that I saw an episode of FIW (recommended by someone on here) they used it as a gimmick in Seed No Evil .. and it was amusing as a parody only.

Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't we add random alarm clock buzzing sounds, too? We can also have goat and cricket noises. Or, even better, screaming babies. This is gonna be great!
