That's not what I meant when I said "nothing in common". I meant the soul of the show. I realize this wasn't very clear, sorry. Thanks for all the info though, it's still interesting to know.

From my point of view, MLP:FiM and previous My Little Pony cartoons have nothing in common. MLP:FiM could very well be named completely differently, they are just using a well-established franchise that's all. Apart from the name, there is no comparison really... Previous MLP cartoons are predictable, waaaay too naive (even for little girls) and personally, don't interest me the least bit.

During class, we were working on a project using school laptops. At some point, I had to log in to my Google account to access Gmail. I don't know exactly how it happened, but Chrome decided to sync all my bookmarks. I didn't notice it at first, and during that class we often switch our laptops according to what's available. When I realized later that Chrome had synced all that, I felt quite strange... I don't remember exactly the bookmarks I had back then, but it was pretty hardcore: Rainbow Dash underwear, Applejack mug (wasn't actually planning on buying this but I tend to save lots of things to by bookmarks), some DeviantArt stuff... and of course MLP Forums. Maybe someone has seen something. Maybe not. But that was awkward and hilarious as fuck.
