Anybody feel like telling me how to "msqladmin flush-hosts" properly? Updated 24 May · 3 comments

About Me

I figure that I should probably make an about me page.

So, without further ado... I am Evilshy.
Just a brony who takes pride in knowing tons of weird things simply because he likes learning new things. I'm one of those people who will spend 3 or 4 hours reading through Wikipeida articles for fun. Some favorite subjects of mine are theoretical physics and astrophysics.

I like to think I have a somewhat sophisticated taste in video games and music, although this does end up being a bit hipsterish at times (I try not to dismiss things simply because a bunch of idiots like it, but sometimes it happens).

I play a lot of Magic: the Gathering, the biggest, most popular, and first Trading Card Game ever (and also the best, but that's just my opinion). I also play a little Yu-Gi-Oh on the side, but I don't like paying for actual cards from 2 games. Card games are expensive hobbies, and I don't need to be shelling out for 2 (which is also why I never got into WH40K, I only have enough money for one table-top pass time Posted Image).

I also greatly enjoy watching movies and TV shows. Back home, it was mostly DVDs, but here in college, with all my free time and nobody to get bitchy when I'm on the computer all day, watching TV series on Netflix has over taken movies by quite a bit. Some of my favorites are Archer, King of the Hill, Mythbusters, 24, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Futurama, Firefly, and Sherlock. Unlike a lot of people, I can rewatch things all the time and not be bored.

I don't read as much as I used to, but it's still a pretty big part of my time. My favorite genres are Science Fiction and Fantasy. Some favorite series of mine are the Hungry City Chronicles (also called the Mortal Engines Quartet in places that are not America), Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the Ender Series (although, I haven't read a lot of it, and am making my way through Shadow of the Hegemon right now), and Redwall. I also love most Star Wars books, but since they're part of a huge universe based on movies, I don't generally list them as part of my favorite series'.
Of course, there are plenty of other series and individual books I love, these are just my top favorites.
I also read plenty of manga. My favorites are O-parts Hunter (also called 666-Satan in Japan), Fullmetal Alchemist, and Death Note. I actively keep up with Naruto, Soul Eater, Bleach, Green Blood, Deadman Wonderland, and Fairy Tail. I used to read D.Gray-man, but quit shortly after the author came back from a long hiatus and everything got even more disjointed and weird than it was before. I also read One Piece for awhile but eventually, the silliness started overshadowing the badassery and I stopped reading it (it was shortly after Smoker got introduced, I think).

As you've probably noticed, I use parentheses quite frequently. This is probably due to my ADD or something; I like going off on tangents, but also know that I'm not really supposed to do that while writing (but apparently, it's okay if you use parentheses). I also use a lot of emoticons, particularly this one:
:/
Which I call "shrug face". It has multiple meanings depending on the context, but when I use it, you can usually picture me shrugging and saying "eh" and you'll be fairly accurate.

Another thing you should probably know is that I often insult things and people. I am very rarely serious about it, since I don't insult people online. It's just me being sarcastic and having a dark sense of humor. SO IF I INSULT YOU, DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. IT MEANS I LIKE YOU ENOUGH TO NOT FEEL INHIBITED. If I don't like you, I won't insult you; I'll probably just ignore you. Of course, there are thousands of people on this site and I can't know all of you, so if I ignore you, it probably doesn't even mean I don't like you.
Also, it takes a hell of a lot to make give a fuck about things, especially being offensive. Honestly, I don't give a rat's ass if I say something that offends other people. Nothing bad happens to you when you're offended, so I don't see why people make such a big deal out of it. It also takes a hell of a lot to offend me, so don't be scared to be brutally honest with me.

Apparently, being staff means I have to start caring a bit more on whether or not I offend people, but oh well :/

Oh, hey, I can pretty long winded at times, too. In case you hadn't noticed Posted Image
