Episode 79 - Slow Motion Fails & Funnies

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  Slow motion in funny fail type videos, particularly physical humor like bicycle crashes or the like.  Slow motion is awesome in certain contexts.  It makes the mundane look epic and amazing, but it also completely kills humor.  Physical humor relies on timing, sudden events, and expectation of physics in realtime, not to mention normal sound.  Reducing a bicycle or skateboard crash to super slow mo destroys all comedic effect.  (Well, for me, at least.)

Episode 5 - Digital Drink Machines

Hey. You know what REALLY grinds my gears? These new digital Coca-Cola machines in restaurants. I'm talking about these f*cking garbage heaps: These things are sh*t. They are so bad. They suck so bad I don't even know where to begin. The old fashioned, hands-free, regular self-serve drink machines are far superior. One of the biggest problems with these new ones is that everything coming out of one tap causes massive contamination. Your drink will always get mixed with a little splash

Episode 7 - Reboot Titles

Hey.  You know what really grinds my gears? Reboot titles. We all know that Hollywood shoots out reboots like a rapid-fire crap machine.  Some of them are actually good and warranted, though.  Many are grave injustices.  But what annoys me to no end is when they give the reboot the exact same title as the original!  No subtitle, nothing to differentiate it!  This drives me f*ckin nuts, because you constantly have to describe which one you're talking about.  Dates are ascribed to movies

Episode 9 - EG vs EQG

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears? This EQG thing.  ...what?  Oh, no, not the actual franchise.  No, I happen to be a big Equestria Girls fan.  Didn't used to be, but now I love it.  In fact, I denounced it pretty heavily in the beginning, so....I'm a big fat hypocrite, and I don't care.  Twilight cracked horn and I don't care.  I love Equestria Girls to pieces.  So sue me.  What grinds my gears is literally the abbreviation EQG.  Why the "Q"?  So, this is probably just an OCPD thing

Episode 32 - Drink Machine Sputtering

Hey. Y'know what really grinds my grears?  When fountain drink machines sputter and spew out a bunch of foam.  One of my first entries was about digital drink machines.  Now I return to complain about drink machines again.  I frickin' hate it when you're filling your soda, and part-way through, the machine coughs and sputters and vomits out some foam or clear liquid with no syrup.  You can't just shrug it off and keep filling.  It ruins the whole mixture.  The entire soda will taste bitter.

It's been awhile. You know what really grinds my gears? When the friggin audience starts rhythmically clapping along. I don't care if it's a live show, a concert, a play, a movie, whatever. Episode 8 - This "Quit the Fandom" Thing

Y'know what really grinds my gears?  When bronies talk about the fandom as if it's a club that requires dues or regular participation to remain in.  I'm so sick of hearing this "quit the fandom" stuff as if you're leaving an organization like the Boy Scouts of America or something.  I've taken a mighty whack at this subject on these forums, but I can't seem to make a dent.  Here's one more attempt.  If you still like the show, then you can still call yourself a brony.  If you want to, that is.

Episode 17 - Audience Hollering When Characters Kiss

Hey. Y'know what really grinds my gears?  When two characters kiss on a sitcom and the audience goes, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW!!!!!!!!!!"  That is so f*ckin' obnoxious and juvenile.  I think that audience members that go, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW!!!!!!!!!!" should be beaten with a bag of doorknobs.

Episode 61 - Holodeck Episodes

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  Every single Star Trek episode where one or more crew members get stranded in the holodeck, and the doors won't open, and the computer won't respond, and they can't shut the power down, and the safety protocols gets stuck off, and the holo characters come to life and become sentient and try to kill 'em, and the crew have to play out some stupid wild west story or medieval story or whatever the sh*t in order to escape.  F*CK THOSE EPISODES, dude. Episode 83 - Entenmann's Boxes

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  Entenmann's boxes. I love Entenmanns's donuts, but the boxes are f*cking bullsh*t.  They're so hard to open.  I make a mess of them every time.  It's nearly impossible to open the box without destroying it.  I decided to just stop trying to salvage the box and just put the donuts in a ziplock bag.  It's just a box!  Why is it so difficult?!  And they're f*ckin' dangerous, too!  I got a surprisingly deep, nasty cut from the edge of one of those boxe

Episode 71 - Anartica

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  When people pronounce the southern-most continent on our planet "Anartica".  This is so common.  Way more common than the correct pronunciation, and it drives me f*ckin' nuts.  There are two t's and two c's in ANTARCTICA.    And on that note, those same people drop the first c in arctic and say "artic". I'm sorry Rarity, and I'm sorry Pinkie, but I have to do this. Episode 15 - Movie Trailers Today

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  You notice how they never show movie trailers on tv anymore?  They used to show legit trailers back in the day, and it got me all excited for movies.  Now, the only way you see movies advertised on tv is when they pair it with some other product.  I know you know what I'm talkin' about.  They show an add for a f*ckin car or a fast food burger, and then show some movie character shoehorned into the ad, or maybe they show some idiot suburban family drivin

Episode 25 - Sex-Specific Colors

Hey. Y'know what really grinds my gears?  Sex-specific colors.  Y'know, this blue for boys and pink for girls sh*t.  Why is this so ingrained in our culture?  They're just freakin' colors.  Reflected wavelengths of light.  They don't have anything to do with one sex or the other.  Anyone can like any color they want. One of the best examples of this is when I go self-serve frozen yogurt shops.  Every one I've ever been to has green and pink spoons.  Or sometimes it's blue and purple.
