I can definitely relate to your fear of abandonment, that's one of the biggest fears I struggle with myself. Fears like that are normal, although they can and should be reduced as much as possible. However, for starters, the main thing is to make sure that you never allow your fears to control you. Don't be afraid to be yourself around your friends. Of course you should be nice to them and not try to do anything to hurt them, but other than that just don't worry too much. If anything bad ever did happen, don't beat yourself up over it, none of us are perfect. True friends will stick with you no matter what, through the good and the bad.

You have to continue to fight it, it is a lengthy process. Sometimes it will be harder than other times but you should never give up.

You definitely deserve friends. I'd almost say someone like yourself deserves more friends, because you have a social problem that needs some love to be beaten down.

Just about everyone deserves a friend, especially a person like you. The world is full of good people who can understand your feelings, talk to you about anything, and just have a good time.

I mean, just look at the responses on this blog. Everyone wants you to succeed in your life here, and plenty would be absolutely thrilled to become your buddy.

I know exactly how you feel. The majority of times I feel reluctant to even interact with anyone around here in fear I might accidentally insult or hurt them. But from what I've seen; you're clearly a nice person who deserves lots of friends to talk to and have fun with. You probably deserve more friends than I do. XD
