How we should deal with clopping and cloppers

We are all very much aware of the so called rule 34 of the internet. It states: "If it exists, there is porn of it." It is very famously used to excuse the fact that there is porn of anything out there. And considering the internet is a handy compendium of all media, it also is going to likely contain pony porn somewhere, and it's going to be archived.

Now we know there is a significant amount of it out there if you searched for it. So unsurprisingly, considering the amount of it out there, there must be people who like it. And these people have gotten their own name to denote their actions as cloppers. Much like furries have the equivalent of cloppers.

Now what does mean for the regular brony? Well short answer is nothing. But there is a problem. A problem that should be solved from both sides amicably.

The deal is, people on the internet tend to be a bit public with their lives, perhaps a bit too public to people too unfamiliar with them. And this perhaps poses a kind of too much information problem out there. See the issue here becomes. is it necessary for someone who would fall under the group of "clopper" to publicly announce this? And in all honesty, it isn't. Because as information goes, it holds no added value to your person. It's not exactly wanted information.

This would be equivalent to publicly stating you like naked people in a shower while playing guitar as porn, it's slightly too specific and slightly unnecessary to know. It is highly annoying that people feel the need to deprivatise such information and make it like it is a part of themselves. A part of who they are.

Now cloppers shouldn't be ashamed of what they do, or what they like. But sexual themes do tend to go a little too far and a little over the rocks when it comes to having a discussion. It never is a good to hand out information if you are unsure if the person receiving it will be at any point interested.

That said, for anyone. If it is a part of your life, that's fine, but that information has it's place. While we all try to be less judgmental, don't make your preference in porn a part of you.

I hope I conveyed well that it's a discussion that shouldn't be an issue. And that we should only try to separate both from each other. We shouldn't let general bronydom be portrayed with clopping. It's not normal, cause it's not the general norm. And it wouldn't be preferable to have image issues concerning all the heavy debate.

I personally believe that we should just take all cloppers and ritualistically sacrifice them in as brutal and violent a manner as possible. I mean seriously? Who does that kind of crap?

Hey, remember that time, when no one cared? We should try to do that again. :V

Things like these don't affect my view on any individual, no matter what the case. I know these things aren't bothering me or any one else directly unless they take it upon themselves to bring it up.

This is...a problem? I mean, like people going around and saying their fetishes? People do that? I haven't really noticed it. And even if they do, is it so bad? I mean, just move on. I mean, isn't that what you kind of do for everything that slightly annoys you? I mean, I'd understand if you couldn't get away from it for even five minutes, but I'm fairly sure you can get away from it.

You being in the plural here. It's directed to everyone.

heh. i've seen countless comments on specific fetishistic images that screams in agony about it on derpiboo.ru. you'd think that they could just block those tags out, but apparently they don't know how to do that.

saying you are a clopper =/= disclaiming material you find arousing in great detail

That's like saying "don't claim you're a bear because it'd be showing in people's faces your love of bondage and leather and domination and-"

"Clopper" and "furry fetishist" are categories of people who are into certain types of porn, REGARDLESS OF THE KINK, featuring CERTAIN KINDS OF BEINGS.

Saying you clop, or fap to explicit furry art, is NOT describing your sexual tastes in detail and shoving it in people's faces.

I agree that cloppers should keep it to themselves. I can tolerate cloppers, but I'd rather not know if someone is one >_> I don't want to hear about someone's fetishes.

Hello, everypony. Yes, I realize this post is over a year old but I'm still responding anyway. So if you would kindly give me your attention I'd appreciate it.

Now I would first of all start off with commenting on Killian Jone's title. The title says "How we should deal with clopping and cloppers" this I would think implies they are a problem of sorts. It's like saying how to deal with gay people, how we should deal with [insert ethnic minority of your respective nation here], or how we should deal with bronies even, (of course that isn't a thing here but it likely is on other forums). In other words it sounds like they are a pest of sorts. The truth is most of the time minorities are looked down upon which is why there are gay pride parades and there aren't straight pride parades. It's not just because they want everyone to know they are gay. It's because of how for a very long time between post Christian-Rome and now the response has been don't talk about these things (modern day, with exceptions) or  you would be persecuted or killed (mostly a few centuries ago). If you start talking about the elephant in the room you promote understanding and not just sneering and jeering about those people who have said preference or said action. It then stops becoming an elephant and a majority grow to accept it or at least more people do. I am in no way saying cloppers struggle or bashing is the same as gay peoples but I am saying similar approaches are taken in how they react towards cloppers and gays. It's the same reason people tell others they are bronies. George Takai did a segment on just that (people that just didn't want to see anyone kissing) when he did an experiment. It showed that that was not the case and that it was indeed due to their orientation (in other words people thought it was okay to see heterosexual couples kiss but not homosexuals). Add onto this the taboo of sexual activity in European cultures and it makes clopping a topic that people "just don't want to hear about" or that anyone who agrees with is sick.

That's why people like Pony Phuckcast made the video Why Bronies Masturbate to Ponies - (Clopping Explained)-. It's to promote understanding and have people stop treating it like it's something dirty. Of course not all people that clop to ponies are like this but there are different kinds of people in all groups. Although I believe I understand where you are coming from when you say why you dislike people talking about it because those outside of the brony community are always like "OMG that's the show that people jack off to the ponies" and thus people look at it disapprovingly or it's another reason to cross it off their list. As I've already said before that's why they talk about it, so people don't have reactions like that because they connect with people that do just that clop to ponies. The thought is likely to eventually have people stop getting their panties in a wad about it and stop treating it like it's just such a terrible thing and just accept everything as a spectrum and not so black and white. If I have misrepresented the views of anyone who is gay or clops I am sorry and please feel free to correct my inaccuracies.

I have to ask Why cloppers clop?

because I'm making a PowerPoint that is a mostly un-biased perspective (anti-bronies get portraied as whiney babies) to make into a video and cloppers have to be placed into it as you are technically bronies so i need you for my research ^_^:twi::P .

Spoiler

The powerpoint will be shown on the internet hopefully if everything goes to plan in 2018 at the latest.
