      I had gotten Outlast on release so it wasn't to long before Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.

    Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs has been good so far. The sound is fantastic. The enemies I have encountered so far look good, but not as terrifying as the ones from The Dark Descent. The story so far has been pretty good. However, the game seems more linear then The Dark Descent.

      If you're into Prog, you could try Spock's Beard or Camel-both have massive catalogs of stuff.

      Good starters would be 'Beware of Darkness' for SB, and maybe 'A Nod And A Wink' for Camel-this one's quite mellow-but has some great guitar work in it.

      I just don't feel like I'm getting any better. Sure, my teacher says I'm getting good, but I don't think that I'm getting better.

      What worked for me was learning chords instead of notes-that way you can play songs that sound like something fairly quickly. Most songs have 2 or 3 main chords they're built around, with a couple of minors thrown in here and there. There are guitar fakebooks you can buy with chord diagrams that show you where to put your fingers for the specified chord-you get one with a bunch of songs you know well in it, then just practise. That's how I learned-you're pretty much teaching yours...

      Teaching yourself at your own pace-it's encouraging when you can recognize the songs you're playing. Keep at it-it'll be worth it in the end.
