Of course, I don't dismiss all parents. There are as many good parents as there are as many bad ones. But even so, it's a minority who actually do what's best for their next generation. Too many adults are focused on their children being paragons of their ideal person, that they dismiss any difference in personality as a flaw to be buffered out. Not their fault entirely, it's the human condition. But it gives no right to ignore all reason should it defy their own ideals.
