It was obvious what he was; he had the arrow tattoos of a master Airbender, and wore the clothes of the Air Nomads of old, much like she did. Her hands flew excitedly through the air, too fast for anyone to understand. Sanuye, who had turned to face Zoho when he had stepped inside, didn't notice Aonani, only smiled at the newcomer and said, "Cool. I didn't know we were gonna have a teacher in charge of the dorm. I'm Sanuye."

Thanks for being so understanding. I certainly hope so; this RP looked very interesting and I regret not being able to be a part of it

Odd. Maybe it's a glitch or something. Here, let me try. Okay... seems to be working for me. I would suggest something, being an artist, but unfortunately I only use Photoshop for photomanipulations and FireAlpaca for drawing. Sorry ^^'

Say, do-" She was interrupted by the door opening and a face appearing behind it. Both girls in the room stared at him in mild confusion. @@Torrent505, Mizuko smiled. "Well, I've never heard of plant bending before, so it's a pretty amazing concept to me. I've learned the basics of healing, but I'm not great at it," she said, standing up. She looked thoughtful for a moment. "Mixed bending? I've never actually thought of that. That's an interesting idea, actually, Well, even as much as I'd love to, there's not much around here for me to bend anyhow."

Sorry for the wait! At first, I was waiting for Torrent505, then yesterday until now I got busy and wasn't able to get on here. I'm writing a reply now.

Sorry about not getting back to you! I've been very busy lately. I would have loved to still have entered a character but I don't seem to have the schedule to be in another RP, as I already am in one. I'm sorry about that ;-;

@@Alex Kennedy, Sanuye's amber eyes lit up and she jumped up from the bed in excitement. "You're a Fire/Airbender too?" she asked eagerly. "That's what I am! I'm not really great at either... uh, either. I grew up in the Fire Nation and my dad was the only Firebender I knew, and I've never met a fellow Airbender before. I haven't had much training." Aonani smiled and raised her hands to sign, [i am a weak Airbender myself. It's interesting that all three of us have Airbending abilities.] Sanuye stared at the mute girl in confusion, then pointedly looked at Tehret for a translation.

Indeed. It gets annoying and confusing.

@Torrent505 Mizuko was confused by his reaction, but still shook his hand and gave him a friendly grin, assuming his reaction was from being caught off-guard. "Nice to meet you too," she said, walking to the bed she had claimed and sitting down on it. "So. You've gotta be a bender, considering this is The Bending School. What do you bend? I can do Earthbending and Waterbending." "Nice to meetcha, Tehret and Aonani" Sanuye replied, shaking Tehret's hand, then Aonani's. "So. Obligatory question: what kind of benders are you?" She went over to the last vacant bed and sat, setting down the only bag she had brought beside her.

@@Torrent505, @@Dji Mizuko blinked, the receptionist's behaviour striking her as odd. "Uh... okay..." she replied, and walked away, following the instructions given to her. It was rather easy to find her dorm; it was only the second room. She knocked lightly out of politeness, and opened the door. Seeing that her roommate was male shocked her, but she quickly recovered, not upset by it in any way. She lugged her suitcase over to one of the beds, and turned to the boy. Noticing that he seemed upset, she said, "Uh... hey. I guess i'm your new roomie. I'm Mizuko. What's your name?" @@Alex Kennedy, Sanuye, having found the door to her dorm room, grinned, excited to meet her roommates. She knocked once before entering, and then opened it, taking a step in before fully registering the two people in the room. The sight of the boy surprised her, but she wasn't too bothered by it. "Morning," she said, giving them both a friendly grin and wave. "I'm Sanuye. I guess I'm your new roommate. Whtat're your names?" Aonani offered a shy smile, and raised her hands to reply. [i would love to tell you about it sometime. As for now-] she was interrupted by a red-headed girl entering the room. The girl introduced herself as Sanuye and asked for their names. Aonani, having stopped signing to Tehret when Sanuye came in, put her hands down and offered her name tag.

I used to live in one of the Air Temples.] After she finished signing, she took her bags to one of the vacant beds, setting her stuff down there. She hated to seem like she wasn't paying attention, but she did want to get unpacked, and in the midst of a conversation, the only time she could do that was while she wasn't signing.

Can I just say that I am pumped to be a part of this? This is technically the first human-based role-play I've ever been in, unless you count LARPing. I'm excited to see where things go. :3

I'm lucky that you can understand me.] She took a moment to move her bags into the room, letting him reply. @@Dji, It took a moment for Sayune to catch her breath, and when she did, she stared flatly at the receptionist. "Thanks," she said, matching the woman's bored tone, and walked away, grumbling about having to rush here for nothing. Instead of heading to the dorms, she headed outside, wanting to get an actual look at the school she would be attending. She debated running back to her and her mother's small apartment a few blocks away to get her luggage, which her mother had promised to bring later in the day, but didn't know if she would be permitted to. Figuring that her mother would want her to stay and socialize, she shrugged and headed back in, this time going for the dorms. Mizuko, while usually coolheaded and laid-back, was brimming with excitement as her father's car pulled up in the parking lot of The Bending School. She took no time in jumping out once the vehicle had stopped and grabbing her suitcase and bags. After a quick goodbye with her parents, she raced into the courtyard and stared up at the building looming over her, a confident grin on her face. After taking everything in, she strode through the doors and to the receptionist's desk. "Uh, excuse me," she said, noticing the teacher there. "I'm Mizuko Sanaa, a student. Can you tell me where my dorm is?

She gave him a shy smile and raised her hands to sign something to him, hoping for the best. Making swift motions with her hands, she signed, [Hello. Do you know sign language?] @@Dji, A teenage girl in a red, orange, and yellow outfit could be seen running as fast as she could, her red hair whipping behind her. On her face was a panicked grimace. I can't believe I slept in on my first day. I hope I'm not too late, she thought, pushing her legs to go faster. She had just woken up a short time ago, and her mother had no car to drive her. She had no idea what time it was; for all she knew it could be well into class time. She hoped she would be lucky enough to get to her new school with just enough time to stop at her dorm before class. As she reached the school, she slowed, but not enough to take in any potential scenery. She burst in the doors and, panting, approached the receptionist's desk. She didn't even register that a man was talking with the woman behind the counter. "Uh... H-hi,," she gasped as she tried to catch her breath."I'm... I'm not too late, am I?" ((I know no classes have started, but Sanuye doesn't Mizuko's post will be here in a second.))

xD I don't have anything planned. Just looking forward to whatever happens. I've heard the term, but I never really knew what it meant. I looked it up, and you're probably right anyway x3

@@Alex Kennedy, Chocolate brown eyes stared up at The Bending School through the grimy window of a rental car as it pulled into the parking lot. A small, thin girl stepped out, carefully taking her bags out after her. A woman that resembled the brown-haired girl got out and beamed at her. "Aonani, I'm so excited for you!" the former said, pulling the latter into a hug. The girl smiled and returned the hug. When they stepped apart again, the girl fixed her name tag - the tag read "Aonani Kiyo"; it made introductions a lot easier - and made motions with her hands, signing to the woman that she was excited. After a few more exchanged words and gestures between the two, they hugged again. Just before the woman left, Aonani waved and signed, [Love you, Mom.] After the car drove away, Aonani turned and started walking towards the school, dragging her luggage behind her. Once inside, she looked around and pulled a map out of her pocket. She had been told beforehand what dorm room she would be in and how to get there, so as to avoid awkward interactions with the receptionist. Following the map, she set off for her dorm. It didn't take her long to find it. Once she was there, standing outside the dorm room, she took a moment to breathe. She knew without being told that she would have at least one roommate, considering how many students she had seen inside. She knocked on the door once before entering, and opened the door slowly. What she saw inside surprised her. There was a boy in the room! She had expected a roommate, yes, but not a male one. Her face immediately went pink and she fumbled with her map, wishing she had the ability to say, "Sorry, I must have the wrong room!" ((Will post as the others in a moment))

Great, thanks! She sometimes replaces the bandages with new ones. It was originally to heal and hide her burn scars, but now she mostly wears them out of habit. Her arms feel naked without them on. That's part of why I haven't posted yet. The other part is writer's block ^^'

I was actually considering entering one of my OCs to Dorm 8. I'd be happy to give Tehret some company. :3 Name: Aonani Kiyo Gender:Female Age: 17 Bending Ability : Airbending. Appearance: Aonani is a bit small for her age, being short and thinly built. She has long, unruly, light brown hair, and medium brown eyes. She prefers to wear traditional Air Nomad clothes (Looks similar to Avatar Yangchen's "outfit.") Though this isn't exactly a part of her appearance, she is mute, and has been learning sign language (I'm assuming it would be a thing at this point - she can't have been the first mute or deaf person in the world - or she would have made something up herself) since she was young. If the person she is trying to communicate with doesn't understand what she's trying to say, she will resort to writing everything down. Personality: Aonani is very shy, but still makes an effort to communicate with others. She gets very flustered when others don't understand her sign language, or don't understand that she is mute. She's calm, polite, and not likely to get mad, as she doesn't have much of a temper at all. Though she can't bend very well, she takes her Air Nomad heritage seriously and practices most traditions done by the Air Nomads of Avatar Aang's time, and earlier, including meditation. Backstory: Aonani was born and raised in the Eastern Air Temple, her parents being born into families that were non bender-gone-Airbender after the Harmonic Convergence of Avatar Korra's time. Her family was enthralled with traditional Air Nomad customs, and practiced them. As a child, she didn't mind practicing meditation and the like, being an unusually calm girl, and as she became older, those customs became nature to her. She started learning Airbending at a young age, but never quite got the hang of it. She and her parents stayed at the Air Temple for quite some time, until she was into her teens, and moved to Air Temple Island in Republic City. From there she continued working on her weak Airbending, and started looking around the city for educational opportunities, in hopes that she could go to a school to learn more about Airbending. Degree of Control over Elements: Weak. She can't bend very well, and can only make short, weak bursts of air. Dorm # (1-10): 8. I think it will be interesting :3 Name: Sanuye Lian (Nicknames are Sanu and Sae (best friend somehow thought of it) She will only let close friends call her Sanu, and only her best friend is allowed to call her Sae) Gender:Female Age: 17 Bending Ability : Firebending, Airbending (I'd like her to invent some sort of way to mix them into a sub-element) Appearance: Sanuye is tall and lean, with long arms. She's fairily fit, about average. She has long, messy, red hair almost always kept up in a ponytail. She has amber-coloured eyes. Her arms are always covered in bandages, from the hands up almost to the shoulders. She is most usually seen in a red tunic with two dark orange belts crisscrossing at the waist. Underneath is a lighter orange, flowy shirt with sleeves that go halfway down her arms, and light yellow tights. Personality: Sanuye is naturally very hotheaded and competitive, but after starting to meditate every day, she's not quite as quick to anger. She's very interested in traditional Air Nomad customs and the like. When not angry or annoyed, she is pretty friendly and laid-back. She's very tomboyish and likes most sports, but some she prefers to watch rather than participate in. She tends to make friends fairly easily; she is confident in social situations and when meeting new people. Then again, most people just become the kind of friends that you wave to or maybe say "hi" to in the hall, but don't really hang out with. When provoked or annoyed, she can get very snappy and feisty. Backstory: Sanuye was born in a small Fire Nation-based village, to a Firebending father and non bending mother. She had no idea for quite some time that she was capable of Airbending, but took on Firebending easily at a young age. As a child, she was very outgoing, albeit hotheaded. When she was about 12, some teenagers in town thought it would be a funny idea to light someone's house on fire and see how long it would take them to put it out. By chance, they chose Sanuye's house. She and her parents awoke to flames surrounding them and debris falling. On their way out of the house, a large chunk debris caught her father, trapping him. Sanuye's mother didn't notice until quite a few paces later, but Sanuye did, and stayed to try to move the fire away from him with bending. Instead, she ended up Airbending by accident and blowing away a bit of the flames, but not enough. By that time, her mother had noticed, but flames had spread, enough to separate mother and daughter. After prompting from her father, Sanuye ran for her mother, again Airbending some of the flames out of the way, but not enough. By the time the two made it out of their house, Sanuye and her mother had several burns Sanuye's worst being up and down her bare arms. That is when she began wearing bandages on her arms. For many reasons, Sanuye and her mother immediately scraped up as much money as they could and moved to Republic City. Afterwards, her mother tried her best to homeschool her, but they both knew that Sanuye was more interested in Bending than typical education. And so, they started looking for schools, or at the very least, bending tutors. (Of course, they felt regret for leaving Sanu's father, but they tried not to dwell on it.) (Sanuye once visited Air Temple Island, and learned how to meditate there. She began to meditate daily.)
