Not really. We've hardly exchanged a paragraph worth of words with any of the four houses around us in the last 20 years. They don't bug us. We don't bug them. Except for the grouchy neighbor behind us who called the fire department for burning leaves like everyone else. And complaining to the village board of the car sitting in our driveway for too long. We haven't spoken to him and we never will. -

Today is not off to a good start.
My brother and I had to excavate the final resting place of my grandmas beloved Chihuahua, Elsinor Marie Morrison. We all just called her Elsie.
Elsie was the friend my grandma needed. When family moved away, when those who were close didn't visit, when the world shut down, when she moved across the country to be with us, Elsie was there with her.
It took a bit for her to warm up to us, but she accepted us. Embraced us into her pack. She was the best Chihuahua we've ever met. She made noise whenever I waled in. But her tail went a thousand miles per hour. She may have been raised by cats, cause she was grooming herself and getting tucked into her blanket. I'm proud I got to meet her and be a part of her life.
Rest in power, Elsie. May your legacy live on. Thank you. We will always love you.

Our DM just incited the whole table and got put in time out by killing an NPC paladin (who was also a black Labrador with fairy wings), our old kindly quest giver from the start of the game and his mouse familiar who argued with everyone over grilled cheese.
