I understand what you mean. They could have put DT back at her bully status for no reason, but they didn't only nullified it, if not that her redemption closed an entire arc and gave the CMC their marks. An action worthy of a genius.

FIM has always been a show that doesn't stick to keeping the environment the same or retread to act as if nothing happened. It's a very progressive show with a loose timeline. They could've reverted DT back to being an antagonist. Instead, not only did they keep her development. They closed a five-year-long arc.
