The Bob Ross jokes were gold, but the rest of the jokes were too shallow to be funny or stopped being funny in ten seconds flat. What About Discord was overall *boring.*

Discord wasn't all there comedically, but seeing Twilight and Spike back to their "Lesson Zero" selves really saved it for me. He did make a couple of continuity references.
To each their own, though, when it comes to entertainment value. I found myself immersed more with Twilight's situation than caring about how comedically sharp Discord was.

It's difficult to make entire episode revolve around a Noodle Incident -- not impossible, but difficult. After a while, alienating one of the characters can lead to alienating the audience... and unless the point *is* to alienate the audience a la Bertolt Brecht, you're going to encounter pronounced problems.

Like I wrote in another status, just because part of the point was to make the audience lost and confused (to relate to Twilight), it doesn't mean it's okay.
A good example that confirms the point is the Goof-Off. Both Pinkie and Cheese were obnoxious, but the humor prior foreshadowing, and relatability to the conflict throughout balanced it out.
