Dark Qiviut

Wow as much as many of the Rainbow Dash fans will dislike hearing this, I will confess, I can't find many episodes where Dash through her character actually is commendable or worth learning from. She does have a great character design, but she often comes off as a massive asshole and jerk, OR those she's associated with (the Wonderbolts Wonderdolts) are equally unsavory themselves.

I browsed through the entire seasons list and the only 2 episodes I could find where Dash truly stands out and match her performance in Common Ground are Sonic Rainboom and The Washouts. In Sonic Rainboom, it's more a matter of Dash's heroics being highlighted than her actual character, so I would exclude it, since nearly all the Mane 6 have examples of heroics and your standard overcoming of obstacles in a story. In The Washouts, Dash does get credit for being a good role model and parent to Apple Bloom and highlighting where are loyalties should lie. But again, this is muddled due to the fact that Lightning Dust as an antagonist is already sketchy since the writers actually want us to believe that Spitfire being a hypocrite and throwing Dust under the tracks was completely acceptable and forgivable, which is what led her to being who she is now.  So even that episode itself is problematic.

So ultimately I do have to agree, that Common Ground is the best, if not among the few character episodes that highlights Rainbow Dash as a character. Let's hope the writers learn from G4 and improve upon Dash is G5,
