Been an amazing day at Disneyland. Saw the Halloween Decor, the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, and meet so many Disney Characters for Meets and Greets

'Tis the season for the Running of the Leaves.

Good morning everyone!

Oh, and the moral and how it was addressed is absolutely perfect.
Was the moral:
-
Derpy: Muffin?
- or
- Princess Celestia: [hushed] Next time, you can just bring your own gift, and I'll bring mine.
- Princess Luna: [hushed] Fine.
- or
-
Rainbow Dash: Ow! That's where the bugbear bit me!

>tfw you created some annoying errors, so you decided to edit, resubmit the "Thank You to Pony" letter, and hope the newer submission is used once the project's complete (if mine are used at all)…

Well, I thought I wouldn't do it, but I submitted to the DHX staff through the "Thank You To Pony" project!

- Best: The Best Night Ever. A solid, satisfying conclusion to still the series's best arc with a lot of excellent satire. Years later, pacing remains among the cream of the crop.
- Worst: Bridle Gossip. Show, don't tell, especially when dealing with racism. Don’t make likeable characters designed to be role models to children so unpleasant. Don’t take a complex subject of racism, dwindle it down to “they scare me,” and cheapen the scars from thowe affected.
Both of these were written by Amy Keating Rogers & both had totally different tones.
"Best" made you happy because of a season's worth of build-up,
while "Worst" probably confused a lot of people because we were only nine episodes into the first season &
they were painting these brand new "role models" in an extremely negative light.
In my opinion, I think they should have moved "Bridle Gossip"'s lesson to season 2 or just scrapped the idea altogether.

Foot has been swollen since Monday; was hoping it would go away, but has varied between slightly better and slightly worse. Guess doctor's appointment tomorrow then...

QuoteToo Many Pinkie Pies
This is the episode where Pinkie Pie stopped being funny for me.
I also think "A Friend in Deed" is an awful cringefest
but I *really* like Smile Song so, I give that episode a teensy pass simply based on that.

I think I am going to take a bit of a break.
Stay classy as always MLPF

Review for A Horse Shoe-In almost complete. Will proofread it tomorrow and then publish.

@Sparklefan1234 @Dark Qiviut @Anti-Villain Hopes, predictions, or questions for Ducktales Season 3?

I've been thinking about the B-plot of GlomTales overnight, and my thoughts on it haven't changed. Della may be trying to be a good parent, but she took it way too far. Her actions in attempt to "discipline" Louie — caging him in his room, using a robot to stalk him, stunning him with electricity, using "how-to" videos to guilt-trip Louie, telling him that he had to give up his scheming habit "if he wanted to be a part of the family" — isn't discipline. It's abuse. Della's method of "discipline" included a threat to disown a ten-year-old boy — a boy she knew nothing about and by far the most emotional of the three — if he didn't abandon his ability to scheme.
To make it worse, everything signals that it's resolved for now, and I have no idea if the DT crew will address this conflict again. These kinds of tactics are manipulative and can damage a child's psyche; this is not something to be swept under the rug! I hope it gets resolved next season, because right now, I hold no confidence. The "Della bonding" arc is the worst of the show.

Got something to say regarding Ducktales’ Timephoon. You probably know what it is:
SpoilerDella tells Louie that his quick-rich scheme was dangerous and he overlooked the consequences without thinking about it.
QuoteLouie *sarcastically*: *puts hands in his pockets* I wonder who I got that from.
Holy cow.
On one hand, Louie has a point. Della took off in a rocket that was never tested while her sons were still in their eggs. All for what? To retrieve a star? Della’s decision was hair-brained, stupid, cost her and her sons ten years apart, and then some. Had she not do this, neither he nor Donald would’ve drifted apart, and they would’ve had a mother since their hatching.
On the other, goddamn, was that the cruelest line in not only season 2, but the entire reboot. Scrooge telling Webby she was not family was heartless, but told in the heat of the moment. Here, this line implicates he doesn’t trust her or believe in her and thought of this since they reunited. Della had only returned recently, and he revived ten years of horrific memories to her face. He 221% deserved to be grounded!

Wow. Not even one year after winning the World Series, Boston fired team president Dave Dombrowski! Didn't see THAT coming at all!

For a long time, Suited for Success was the best Rarity episode.
Dragon Dropped it to second.

The Golden Armory of Cornelious Coot (the newest DuckTales episode) is out OnDemand, but un-aired till later this morning, so comments are under a tag:
SpoilerSure, Launchpad's pretty stupid, but at least he knows how to fly a plane and work with the flight basics. In The Golden Armory of Cornelious Coot, his stupidity's completely flanderized, turning his lack of IQ into extreme negligence.
- Going from superglue into gum to repair the plane, which would put him and Della in massive danger!
- Completely forgetting that Della has an important assignment to commemorate Cornelius Coot.
- Driving her crazy to the point that she had to yell at him to shut up. (I commend her for apologizing to him for that, but he really needed to shut up, listen, and behave.)
- Admitting that he turns his chair around to warn others that he's about to crash.
- Intentionally nose-diving the plane into the ground. Seriously, WTF?
Of the appearances he's had that I watched, this is easily his worst and most annoying.
And the envy Webby had over Della didn't feel built up at all. It came out of nowhere during the second act and didn't feel realized.
DuckTales has had its great episodes this season, but there will be clunkers. Thanks to an annoying and negligent Launchpad, lack of chemistry between him and Della, and poor pacing, this is one such episode.

A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill is the Ducktales’ Pink Elephants On Parade. Lots of humor and very creepy, trippy imagery.
And Magica De Spell is one vile bastard. Treating her own daughter with manipulation, verbal abuse, and pure contempt. The only thing she loved about Lena is her ability to control and scare her.

I... need some time.
A very dear friend of mine has passed away today... and it may have been foul play.
I'll be around, just... yeah.
