  1. Is this a joke?! If so it's in pretty bad taste...
  2. ermagerd you didn't even check my profile to see the age I listed well done!
  3. As others have mentioned, a ketogenic diet on the long term isn't good, which is why I cycle. This is important: depending on your body type, it will take anywhere from <50g to <25g for your body to stay in ketosis. Any more than that, and it'll be kicked out of it. This ties into the carb cycling thing I mentioned earlier, where you do one month @ 20-30g and one month @ 70g. Because you're constantly changing the metabolic rate in which your body breaks down food, there will be no permanent change and thus when you are in the 20-30g ketogenic pattern, it will be just as effective at dropping weight off you as it was when you first started. And providing you don't eat pure shit when you're on the 70g cycle, the weight will stay off of you. Of course I'd never recommend staying under 30g of carbohydrates per day for anything more than a month or two, at best. But I think it's important you have these facts. If you cycle your carbohydrates, no damage will be done to your mind, your body, anything, since the only permanent change that will happen is the fact that you'll lose weight. With regard to what Carbon Maestro said, if you want to look your best for a certain day, you have to deplete your body of carbs for about four/five days. On the fifth/sixth day, eat a mixture of simple and complex carbs and make sure you get a shit ton of them. This replenishes the glycogen in your muscles and makes you look extremely shredded and tightens up your skin. It does work, but it's not going to be a long term solution, and it will have no effect on you if you're not that built to start with. Btw: I'm 6"2, 195lbs, 7% body fat.
  4. So many boring colours! Green, blue, brown, what is this? Mine are Caribbean Aqua.
  5. That's why I do the carb cycling. You don't want to change your body's metabolism permanently, just trick it into thinking you're doing something you're not.
  6. It generally depends on the area in which you're trying to lose excess skin. For me it was pretty much everywhere, as I was overweight as a kid and found that it was particularly hard to lose a very small part of fat in certain areas. Ketosis is essentially a state your body enters whereby it changes your metabolism somewhat so that you break down fat at a faster rate. Incredibly fast actually, I lost weight like it was nobody's business, almost 2 stone in 4 months. The ketogenic diet I used was basically cycling my carbohydrate intake - I'd do about two months of limiting my carbohydrate intake to 25g per day (and the 25g would only come from nuts/green vegetables/fruits), and then another two months of limiting it to 70g per day (again, just from nuts/green vegetables/fruits, although I'd have a cheat day per week), and then just cycle the two different diets over periods of four months. It's worth noting that you can eat an absolute shit ton of protein, vegetables, fruit/etc. I was never hungry while on a ketogenic diet. And even though it might sound disgusting, I can guarantee that it works. When your body tells you to stop, keep going, because it's your mind that will ultimately make you push through it. But that's all a bit extreme. It's the best way to look really shredded, but if you just want to lose some loose skin I'd say try it for a week and see if it gives you the results you want.
  7. Best way to increase muscle definition and get rid of loose skin is ketosis. Dehydrating your skin sounds like it would create more problems than it would solve.
  8. woah, just realized that I actually won the lottery (not the jackpot) and forgot to claim it. ffs

  14. Never expected to see a thread like this here. I'm not an incredibly dedicated bodybuilder, but I do it as a hobby and I like to think I'm in pretty decent shape, I'm a mesomorph, 6"2, 195 lbs and have 7% body fat. Could be better, but I've been avoiding steroids like the plague and I don't want to become one of those people who have such insane muscle definition that it begins to look gross. I probably go to the gym twice or three times a week, finding it hard to break through 200 lbs. I take creatine supplements occasionally and have a strict carbohydrate cycling diet, which alternates between a "bulking" diet and a "fat cutting" diet every two months or so. My lifestyle is otherwise rather sedentary. For the bulking diet, I try to get carbs and meat/protein every single meal. Best diet I've found to grow is just to get a decent protein intake. It's also important to limit carbs to stuff like pasta/brown rice/vegetables, and cut down on all sugar unless it comes from fruit (even then, on a limit). For the fat cutting diet, it's just the standard ketosis diet of protein, vegetables and a 20g carb limit per day. After about a week, the fat cutting diet will taste revolting, but it's pretty much the best way I've been able to reduce my body fat. And once a month I have a cheat day, where I just go to a restaraunt or something and order something purposely unhealthy. The thing I found hardest to cut out was fruit juice, I still get huge cravings for Tropicana in the mornings.
  15. I've been told I sound identical to this guy. I guess it's just what people would call a "stereotypical British accent". Not sure.
  16. Well, I'm from the UK, so that makes me notoriously uni-lingual, at least if we're talking in terms of speaking a language fluently. I can speak German relatively well, but people could tell I'm foreign (I still make some grammatical mistakes, and my accent is still quite obviously British). My French is okay but I probably couldn't survive in France in the long-term without expanding my vocabulary. Plus I completely murder the accent. I tried learning Finnish a while ago after visiting the country and becoming completely enamored with it, but despite being a beautiful country, the language is anything but beautiful, so I gave up after a little while - although I still remember some of what I learnt. If I had more time and/or motivation, I'd like to become more fluent in it.
  17. Got a whopping 40 minutes of sleep last night. Hooray!

  18. I'm just so horrifically tired. :/

      Oooooh nice man. :D

For me it would be the other way round, I'd always move closer to nature than further away from it. I live quite near a beautiful and peaceful forest atm and I love it here - only downside is my 2mb/s internet :D
