Oooo a settings thread. I'm using a Razer Deathadder 1800dpi edition @ 500hz on a Steelseries QcK+ Fnatic edition, sensitivity is roughly 33cm/360 with mouse acceleration disabled. My monitor is just a 22" ASUS 60Hz (bad) one, but I'm saving up money from a Sunday job I do alongside my studies to buy a 120hz BenQ monitor, because that stuff actually makes a difference yeah The sensor on the Deathadder is absolutely beautiful, although I ran a polling rate test and it flickers from a stable 499hz input down to about 470 when I make very long swipes over my mousepad. I guess that's what I get for using a low sens. Also I built my own computer, had it for almost two years when it was considered fairly high-end. I can run anything I want on any setting, but due to me starting university next year I haven't found much time for gaming, although I was hugely into QuakeLive before. I plan to play the new Elder Scrolls Online game when it comes out, though. EDIT: Just played a round of quake with a wmo 1.1a, so damn nice.

I personally don't like Slipknot, and I don't like labelling music either. A good song is a good song. I listen to trance/house, classical, jazz and metal. I've been to festivals like Download/Sonisphere and also Creamfields/Tomorrowland. It's all good. Anyway to stop myself going offtopic too much, my three favourite metal-genre bands are Children of Bodom, Ensiferum and Wintersun. I've seen them all live and they are absolutely fantastic. I prefer this style of metal to the Slipknot-esque drop-A tuned growlyness.

Year 9 was awful. As for a favourite, I guess my current year (last before uni - idk the American school system but it's Year 13 here) is pretty cool because of the independence you're allocated. Only thing that sucks is the fact we have to do mock exams in every subject every week.

Yeah. An ex-friend of mine got into ketamine and heroin, at the age of sixteen. He also tried to get me to start his disgusting habit with him. We're both seventeen now, I'm off to study a BA in literature at university in September - he's working in McDonald's and has no qualifications to his name. EDIT: Forgot to mention that aside from his McDonald's job he's now selling 25i-NBOMe in an abandoned house near a school. Smooth.

Try pinging your router. On windows, this is done by opening the "cmd" and typing: ping 192.168.1.1 You should ideally want 100% connectivity and <1ms ping. If that's what you're getting, then the problem is not with your computer or your cabling - it's likely to be the internet routing within your area being bad (this was a problem for me a few years ago) and the only thing you can do is to wait for the internet transmissions in your area to be upgraded. You could also try to buy a new ethernet cable or ask your ISP to replace your router, although I've personally found the last two options to be ineffective for me when I was faced with internet problems. Well I'm in the UK, I'm using a provider called "TalkTalk". What I like: - really really low ping in online games (i get 4-5 to UK-based servers, and 75 to east coast USA, for example) - decent dl speed - unlimited usage - speeds don't usually get slowed down at peak times - paying only £25 a month (including weekend calls) What I dislike: - slow ul speed - dynamic line management (switches interleaving on and off whenever it feels like it, although it's off 99% of the time) - 50:1 contention rate - TalkTalk will try to port you off to the slowest connection possible even on the same package and the only way to get a speed increase is to complain about it (srsly) However, if you can look past the flaws, TalkTalk are a great ISP and I have no plans to change in the near future.

Yeah, in such a modern day lifestyle you are taught to use people and love things, which is a complete misunderstanding of life. MLP taught me that things are meant to be used, and people are meant to be loved. It's just an awesome show.
