I did, though I had I leave for a bit for dinner before coming back to say thank-you. I am concerned about your status at Disney though it seems like a waste to train a cast member and let them go rather than just furlough them so that member is quickly available when things pick up at the parks again.

Lots of work! However in general during the hiatuses, I usually go into lurker mode and take a break from MLP. Most of the posts I do do are usually short one-sentence thoughts. I saw your comments on Spike's dad the other day but all the replies pretty much covered anything I had to say so I just left it at that. XD

Thanks very much! It doesn't feel like that many years have passed, yet here I am having existed for half of a century now.

It's kind of nice for this one of particular note that for unrelated reasons two of my family members ended up being in our old stomping grounds so my annual visit of family and friends was a little larger than usual.

Indeed! I was just commenting to my high school buddy yesterday (I'm on vacation the next few weeks visiting family and friends) how floored we would be if we could take something as common today as an LED light bulb and tell our past selves this light is made of nothing but LEDs, uses a fraction of the power and lasts for years. Back then when we thought about LEDs they weren't anywhere near as bright nor did they come in many colors other than red, green, and yellow. XD

That's wonderful news! Thanks for putting the mention in, I would have missed it for a while if you hadn't. 

I was wondering during the last few episode reviews how the dissertation was coming along; the last few of them were quite extensive (even though you didn't think the last one was) and remembered you telling us you had to balance your time between this site and finishing with school.

At least you have lots of time now to review the next two episodes.

I didn't log in yesterday and so I missed your birthday, happy birthday to you belatedly!

I've been means to reply to your review of the previous episode (along with several other members) but it's just been one of those busy weeks.

I'm doing my annual trip to visit my sisters as well starting next Thursday, so it's going to be a crazy two weeks starting then. I'm not actually sure how I'm going to see the movie; I may just have to wait till I get back.

Have fun manning the booth this year at your Oktoberfest!  I haven't been to one yet - partially due to the distance required to get to the nearest one and also due to me picking October for my family visits it's the one month out of the year tourists aren't clogging the roads with traffic.
