  1. Meh ... the Baby Cakes thing is called a plot device and the 'no excuse' thing is a typical comedy convention used ad naseum. This happens through the entire series were the writers will ignore established character traits to further a joke. Nothing more. It's extremely common.

And it's a stretch to say that Bronies in general still consider Rarity worst Pony. Even in ranked Mane 6 lists where a user lists a charater as last they will usually add a modifier that they don't dislike the character they ranked last.

And Pride is not a betrayal of Generosity (I'm not explaining that again) :D

  2. From what i seen the main arc is to resolve disputes around Equestria. That map in her castle is going to help them somehow.

I think that this is where the next season is going to focus on as well. I'd say the about 10-13 episodes specific to the Council of Friendship going around Equestria ... and the rest simple Slice of Life and CMC episodes.

  3. They images they showed at ComicCon were little more than storyboards. The equals signs were probably just placeholders to indicate background ponies rather than a specific character. Don't read too much into a production still.

More likely that they all have the same Cutie Mark, but the image had not been finalized and = is just the place holder

  4. If I recall, they've wanted to do an episode about Ma and Pa Apple for a while, and again if I recall correctly....Hasbro said no.

I haven't found a primary source for that. I can tell you that they said no to Luna. That kinda sucks because I think Luna would be a popular character if they only brought her back. ;)

Woudn't little girls watching it ask their parents if those ponies going to die too? Seem like magical world of fantasy is becoming more realistic with diseases, disability and death with each season. We already seen disabled pony on a wheelchair. Not sure if it fits that colorful utopia.

It can be directly addressed like in Sesame Street which has a younger targeted demo than MLP, and yes it will start a conversation. Of course Jim Henson and PBS got a nice shiny gold statue to prove that it can be a good thing to tackle death. They can take the show don't tell approach like Rugrats did. They can take the single line like, "I wish Mom was here ... she would have known what to do."

That last one may be more palatable.

  5. I'd rather not see a series finale. Just let the final season end as any other season has ended. A special series finale just seems like it would have too much forced emotional drama, and would not be the way I'd like it to end. I'd rather just have an episode like any other; maybe tie up a couple of loose ends on the side. Anyone else agree?

Agree! I would rather the show end on a normal run of the mill friendship lesson ... complete with a final letter to Celestia (for nostalgia sake).

  6. So in a recent Comicon panel, Meghan and Jason stated that they thinking on how to create an episode about loss of Aj parents. How do you think they should tackle it so it wouldnt stand out too much from the series bright atmosphere? Should they even teach little kids about passing away and death?

Cannon-Ish (I like to think so)  It was confirmed on twitter that the two shooting stars at the end of Apple Family Reunion were to represent her parents.

There are so many ways that this can be tackled appropriately for little kids.

    Here are two examples

Tell me again why a kids show can't talk about death?

  7. She is a cute little kitty...

Also, i have a picture that seems to be derived from that one you have there.

Sums my feelings for the thread and it's population up pretty well...

Also, does maybe someone know from which episode that scene here is? I kinda want it in a better resolution.

Is that even a real picture or is that shopped?

    Magical Mystery Cure!

I know cause I cut a clip out of that scene last night.

  8. I'll try and put aside my obvious bias.

I believe the Snuggle and Hug meme came about because of a few specific shots that showed her snuggling up to Twilight. That and she may very well be the least touch averse Pony (next to Pinkie of course). It grew from there and you also have macros showing characters trying to stage an intervention.

Fabulous really doesn't need much explanation ...

Worst Pony ... for a long time she was considered an inaccessible character and unfairly dismissed by some as 'the girlie greedy one'

    Bend over was already discussed.

I'm surprised you didn't ask about the crabs or marshmallow memes. :D

  9. Where is the bronycon 2014 at in Southren Califorina?,I'm wondering because they might have the Bronycon2014 somewhere else in Southern Califorina.

If the Bronycon2014 might be somewhere in Southern Califorina,Then I have too try too plan a interview but I have too ask my dad if it's ok since I'm currently 16 in a half and my dad gotta know if it's ok too him that I can on phone or somewhere I live I would like too be in one even though I'm really shy but I need too get over it.

The Researchers are from USCF in Southern California. BronyCon is in Baltimore, MD. You can arrange for a face to face at either location, but you may need a release from you parents. Don't know how this works with the phone interview.

If this is a recalibration of the data from a few years back I'm interested to see how the landscape has changed.

Just confirmed that you need to be 18 years or older, just in case anyone wanted to know.

  10. Something crossed my mind yesterday. I wonder what Tomiix would say if he saw how popular this topic has become. It's a shame some of the old timers are no longer around.

  11. Good Morning all!

As far as terms of endearment, not counting all the Biblical ones I did, I just call her Rarity, Rares, and when I see Sweet and Elite Rarity ... La Rares (or would that be Le Rares). I actually guess Le Rares sounds cute. :please:

  12. I prefer fanfiction and here's why: mobile services. Fan fiction has a mobile site, but fimfiction doesn't. It is way easier to check the stories I like on my phone or 3DS rather then my computer, and fimfiction crashes way to easily since it has no mobile site.

That is a great point. Need to add that to my list of issues with the site. No mobile version and lack of .mobi support.
