  1. So I seem to be a very unique individual. I never thought I was that much different than most people but after meeting people for the last 29 years I have never met anyone just like me. not even mostly like me. I have met a lot of people that are just like me in one or two ways but never in most ways. I am an INTJ personality type and I can never seem to find anyone else with that same type. I know its not the rarest type but it seem that way at times. My introvert sensing meets that I can feel that way things effect body chemistry even in small ways. It makes me pic foods basted on how they make me feel just as much or more so then how they taste. after a work out a bland protein shake taste better to me then big thing of ice cream or cupcakes or anything like that. another way that I seem to be unique is that I seem to collect skills. I can mountain bike, road bike, dive a manual car, offroad a jeep, play COD, swim, kayak, make exact copy of vector art and a hole bunch of other stuff better then average person that can only do just one of thous things. for example I can swim better thin anyone that was in my offroad club and I can play most video games better then anyone in my mountain bike club. when ever I meet up with a group of people most of the time I am not the best one there at what ever there doing, but there is almost always something that I can do better then anyone else there that is not related to what ever activity we are doing. I always have friends from each type of things I like but never have friends that are not broad or disinterested with half of the stuff I like to do or talk about. I have always felt like an outsider in just about every group I have been involved in including bronys. it seem like any group I am in I only have about 20-40% shared interest with the people of that group. anyway, anyone else ever feel like that will never meet anyone just or mostly like them?
  2. I was there all day Saturday and I had a blast! it was my first pony con and I have to say it was the best type of con I have ever been to. most of the time I get board after a few hours of these things but I was having great time. the high light for me was the PMV today panel. it was I am a big fan of well made PMV's and it was like an hour of the best of the best. I got to meet a bunch of youtube people that I a fan of too so that was really cool. I made a few new friends and I also enjoyed looking at all the fan artwork for sale. I got a few prints but I have no where to put them. I think the best part about the hole thing though was feeling 100% normal having a pony shirt on and talking about ponys all day, and not feeling like I had to explain any of it to anyone there. I will going back next year.
  3. So I am for gender equality, in that I want both to be able to do just about anything the other can do like guy can where skin tight workout gear, where a dress, or girls can have really shot hair, do any sport they want, stuff like that, but I am not for pretending like gender does not exist. in that a guy can where a dress and it is ok, but he will always be a guy in a dress, what I am trying to say is they should not sell "people underwear" because there is practical reason for having one for each gender, what I am saying is you should be able to buy boys MLP underwear and girls transformers underwear. how about every one else?
  4. please don't hijack my thread. you should make a new one. you can use my thread and poll as a template if you like.
  5. So I was at Bronycon over the weekend (had a blast by the way) and I noted that there were more then a few women there with short hair, some even with very short hair. so tell me, how long is your hair? also has anyone else noted a higher number of short haired girls in the fandom then in every day life? as for me, I am guy but I think that short hair on girls look good and I think its great when I see a girl that has a hair cut that she wanted and not one that she feel like she has to have.
  6. I have not done a T.M. and you have not done an I.M. so I don't think ether of us are qualified to make a statement like that. I did find some one on another board that did do both and they had this to say about it. "I did Tough Mudder Tri-State this year. Its a different type of challenge. You have to mentally and physically strong to complete the course, but NOWHERE as mentally and physically demanding as ironman. They are two completely different events with different motives. TM is about working together as a team and helping other overcome obstacles and fears. IM is really a test of the individual, physically and mentally. More like a personal journey/test of how deep/far you can go Froze my @$$ off, got covered in mud and lost my voice from screaming at my crew. Its an awesome experience, and certainly tough both physically or mentally. IMHO, it doesn't really deserve to be call the toughest 1 day event on the planet, however they do throw in "Probably" in the motto. Still an awesome and bad-@$$ event well worth every bit of suferring and dirty laundry. " dajeeman357
  7. I want to do a tough mudder or a spartan race of some kind. I did not want to one before my ironman because I did not want to get hurt but now I am free so to speak.
  8. So on Sunday, after 6 mouths of very long training days I completed an IRONMAN triathlon in Lake Placid NY USA. For every one that dos not know what that is. it is a race with a 17 hour time limit. you need to complete 3 things in that time. a 2.4 mile (3.9k) swim, 112 mile (180.2k)bike ride, and 26.2 mile (42.2k) run. It was very hard but I think the training was the hardest part. I was doing 8 hour bike rides every weekend for weeks. I ran out of songs to listen to and places to ride to. doing a 1 hour non stop swim set gets boring with no music, and running just sucks. going for 2 or 3 hour runs makes my feet hurt for days. but despite all that I did have a lot of fun doing most of it and it felt great to finish! one thing that happen during my training is I got to the point that I just gave up on thinking about stopping a ride or swim or run early. it got to the point that I could just do anyone until my arms or lags would stop working. its one of the things that happens to guys in special forces training. they stop listen to there body telling them that it wants them to stop. The race went well for me. It rained really hard for the fist 20 miles of the bike and I wend down a mountain at about 30-40MPH in the rain (it was like the 3ed scariest thing I have ever done on a bike). on the 2nd lap I got up to 47mph on that hill in the dry. there was ever 6000 feet (1829m) of climbing. it is two 56 mile lops and when I stared the 2nd one I did not think I was going to finsh, but I just kept going and 4 hours later I was starting the run. I had a bad stomach cramp so I did not run more then a mile or two for the fist 3 hours, after that I had really bad blisters on my feet from power walking for so long so I walk most of the rest of it for over 3 more very painful hours and I finished in 16 hours and 50 minutes. So anyone else every finish anything like this that they were really proud of?
  9. really? that's all you have to say? I know how long the pool is and I know how far I want to go. but I cant go that far because I did not look it up before hand.? here is one for you. your going camping and using dehydration food. you have 1g of water. you have 2 meals that need 8oz of water one that need 6oz and one that need 4 cups and one that need 10z. do you have the water you need or do you need to take a long detour to get more so you don't die. you can't look it up because your phone is dead. also if I went swimming until I did not want to or could not keep going. it would be some where around 4 to 10 miles. and then I would be to tired to do the next working out in 2 or 3 days. (its more inpornt to workout ever few days then to do one big one like ones a week)
  10. ok, so I am in the pool. i have done zero laps, how meany do I need to do for 1.25 miles in a 25 yard pool. I did not look it up before because I did not know I was going to do that much untill I got in the pool and felt kind of good, so I decided to do a 1.25 mile swim that day. (also as a side note, the pool I swim in has 25yard, 25m and 50m lanes, and you don't know what one you will be in untill you get there because of who is using what lane)
  11. it confuses me all the time. lets say I am out on a bike ride. when it is really hot I drunk about 1L of water per hour or just under 1 gal per 3h15m. I am 2,1/2 hours ride from home. they have 16oz water bottles. how meany do I need to make it home with out running out of water or buying more then I need? (this has happen to me)
  12. lets say you just doing it spear of the moment, you got no phone since your in the pool. how meany 25yard lap do I need to do to get to 1.25 miles?
  13. here is where you are short sighted. I do a lot of swimming so this happens to me all the time. lets say I am swimming in a 25m lane and I want to do 2K worth of laps. I am at 1,325m how meany laps do I need to do to finsh my 2k swim? I can do the math in my head as I am swimming and know its 27 more laps. now same thing but I am doing 1, 1/4 mile swim in a 25 yard pool. I am at 1,450 yards. can you tell me how meany laps I need to do to get to 1.25 miles with out looking it up? can you even tell me how meany yards or feet are in a mile with out looking it up?
  14. I don't think you under stand how the metric system works 2400 meters is 2.4 kilometers 2400 yards is 1.36363364 miles if your bad at math how wold it be harder to use the metric system over the one we use now?
  15. So how do all the Americas feel about the metric system? it we started using it tomorrow how would you feel?
  16. So I am very hairy guy. my hole body is cover from head to foot. the only places I don't have hair is the bottom of my hands and feet and the top of my head (irony, you're so cruel). I don't mined it to much except for the hair on my back and shoulders. one thing I don't like is that ever time you see a guy with no shirt in a movie they are always 100% hairless. it just looks strange to me. I don't want to have a hairless chest. now I know how girls feel about only being told that there is only one way to look hot by movies and things. anyway how do you all feel about this? guys and girls. PS: I remember one cool thing from COD:black ops 2. one to the characters is being held prisoner and has no shirt, and he is just as hair cover as I am. It felt really good to see realistic looking action hero type instead of the Hollywood cliche! skip to 22:49
  17. UPDATE: so I got to spend a bunch of time with him this week end. And out of nowhere he asked "if the unicorns have magic, and the rainbow one can fly, what can the ones with out wings or horns do?". latter they day some more questions like that come up. then that night we were looking at stuff on youtube (he just got a smart tv with youtube app so we were playing with that) and I start playing some fan mlp videos. I think what pushed him over the edge to start liking it was the fluffy mixer ones. anyway I think he likes the show but did not want to admit it to him self at first. the seed just need to grow in his mined at bit so to speak. anyway funny story from Saturday night. we were watching a bunch of gun videos on youtube but as soon as his wife fell asleep, we start playing some pony videos and when she would wake up for a bit we would put some more gun videos on "nothing to see here, just guns and explosions.... is she asleep? ok back to pony stuff!" lol.
  18. So a bit of background. Me and my friend are 29 year old males (we were 28 at the start of this story). been friends since high school. some time back in the winter we were board and flipping threw netflixs and watched the john delancey documentary on bornys as a bit of a joke. the next day I started watching the show and got hooked right away. so about 2 mouths ago I tell my friend that I have been watching the show and really like it and that he show at least give it a shot. I pick 4 episodes for him (sonic rainboom, lesson zero, and the return of harmony 1&2) he says ok, I will watch them tonight. a few days later I ask him about it and he did not watch them. this go back an forth for about 2 mouths until finely on Monday night here does it. I ask him about it and he tells me that it is too girly for him and that it was just as girly as he thought it would be. I have not talk to him since (just because I have not seen him to do so) I am very disappointing, not because he dose not like the show (although I am a bit about that) but because I have spent the last two mouths talking about it and tying to say how its not what he thinks and it was exactly what he thought it would be. I feel really embarrassed about the hole last two mouths. also if I did not talk him into watching the show and just left it at I like the show, he may have looked it up on has own and had a better retraction to it but who knows. anyway has this happen to anyone else?
  19. That is because RD ad AJ are the only two of the 6 that the same person (Ashleigh Ball) does both the talking and singing (I think). I really like both RD talking and singing voice. I think that there may not have been a full RD song because Ashleigh Ball has a hard time singing in the RD voice for more then a short time but I am just taking a guess on that.
  20. here you go also I fund this one too and her is a gif for you too! that is a good one!
  21. So I was watching sonic rainboom and I find it really cute when Rainbow Dash does something really girly because you don't get to see it to much. it makes it really fun when she does something like the OMG scenes at the end. what others can you all think of? Wow, after looking at all these glf's at the same time, that is like almost too much RD cute to handle.
  22. it really interesting how most people that like EQG did not like S3 and vice versa. is there anyone here that like both or nether?
  23. Col S: You're needed on the bridge sir! Helmet: Knock on my door! Knock next time! Col S: Yes sir! Helmet: Did you see anything? Col S: No sir. I didn't see you playing with your dolls again, sir! Helmet: Good!
  24. So I got a Leatherman Wave muliti tool when I was 13 and carry it almost ever day for 14 years. (don't tell my middle or high school that I had a muliti tool with knife on it almost every day of calls lol) It came in handy so meany times I cant even tell you. I got so attached to it that in 2012 I retired it and made a case for it because sentimental value if it got so high that I could not bare the thought of loosing it. after that I got a Leatherman Charge TTI and switched out the pliers with a leatherman Rebar. anyone else have some kind of muliti tool in there EDC (every day carry)?
  25. I have been seeing a lot of people commenting that Spitfire in wonderbolts academy is so different from her in Rainbow Falls. In WBA you see spitfires preferential side she shows to outsiders when she is working. In RF you see here true self, the one that will do just about any and every thing to be the top flyer, even if it is not 100% honest. all you need to do is to look at elite athlete like lance armstrong. on the outside he seem great but IRL he was doping and black mailing his way to the top. I don't see any resin way a top athlete like spitfire would be immune to doing the same kind of stuff. I always thought that the number one athletes in a spot wore less interesting then the ones that never come in first but are always there trying there hardest (maybe even harder then the number one athlete in the sport) and never getting any of the attention. so what do you all think? did we see two sides of the same pony, or was one or the other episodes compactly out of character for Spitfire. (On a side note, I really liked how the legend did not meet up with the reality, as is the case in a lot of things in life)
