  1. Anyone who calls you an idiot is just a complete jerk. You have a genuine question, and any question should have an answer. I suppose that depends on the route you want to take with the OC. You could go the route of a disability, which would make it interesting to figure out how they would navigate and interact with the world on land vs. in the sea, or you could take the route the hippogriffs from the movie/later seasons of the show use and have a special charm that lets them change form so they can have lungs and leg whiles on land and fins and gills in the sea. Either way works just fine if you're trying to keep it 'lore accurate' to the series (though let's be honest, even the show is just a tiny bit inconsistent with some of its lore sometimes). If you want the character to be like you, there's nothing wrong with that. In the end, I wouldn't stress on it being 'perfect'. The outcome of the character is up to you the creator. That's the beauty of creating something: the outcome is up to you, especially if it's an OC. This is just my personal opinion of course and, like I said, it's up to you to decide how the character ultimately goes, but I think you should do whatever feels right for you,. Make sure you're happy with the outcome, because in the end your own opinion is what matters with something you create, and if you love it and are happy with it, then it doesn't matter what other people think. There may be others who like it too, and others who don't, but as long as you love what you've created, that's what really matters.
  2. Commission done for @Dark Horse through discord. My Return AU Derpy if she were a griffon. The necklace she has is a glamour charm, when can change her outward appearance. The bird part is a cockatiel and the cat part is an Egyptian mau.
  3. Forgot to share this one from back in may, but this was done for @Dark Horse through discord.
  4. Welcome to the forum @PwincessLiv! Hope you like it here! I hope you'll share your art sometime too; would love to see it!
  5. So the blog 'A Guide to MGA's Magic Touch Ponies' just got a big update. I don't know if there might be other toys missing, but one of the ones I provided in the last entry had no description, and I never included anything about the kingdom the toy line takes place in. This entry will be kinda short, but I thought it might be better to just make a new one than edit the old one. Anyway, here's a bit more info on Shyla and the kingdom she's from. “High above us floats the mystical city Crystalia, ruled by magical ponies. Long ago a brilliant rainbow showered Crystalia, gifting ponies with magic powers. Each pony possesses a rare mystical talent that is activated only with your magic touch! You can help the magic ponies keep happiness in the city by keeping their magic shining!” And here she is with her description. Shyla ‘Shyla Magic Heart is adored in Crystalia for her kindness & beauty, always putting others first.“ That's all the blog author TessFabled was able to find on her. I just like that there's anything on Shyla at all. Apparently she's pretty rare in the 'Magic Heart' line. That makes me even happier I was able to get one of her. Anyway, that's all I have for now! Hopefully I'll eventually have more of these ponies to share, because I really love them!
  6. Hi there @aestheticloudice! Welcome to the forum; hope you enjoy it here!
  7. This shop is still open and on this thread for the time being! I hope you'll consider commissioning me!
  8. My shop hasn't been the most active lately and I'm trying to make some changes to it, but until they can get reviewed and go through, my shop is still open! Please take a look if interested! I can draw ponies, Sonic, human, and I'll even try other things that might not be on the list! Just just have to ask about it! Take a look, and please, feel free to dm me if interested at all! Or even post something on the thread, and I'll reach out in a message to you myself!

  12. All character information about each pony will be taken from 'A Guide to MGA's Magic Touch Ponies' with no edits made to them. My personal thoughts about each toy will come after these descriptions. Carmelia Carmelia Magic Heart is famous for her bravery. She performs heroic acts in the city Crystalia, saving other ponies from danger. But she needs you to activate her powers. When you brush her silky mane, Carmelia Magic Heart lights up with magic energy, the light from her heart makes her fearless. You are the real hero behind her secret power! Carmelia is first of four ponies I first got together in a group selling on ebay. She's part of the 'Magic Heart' series. She's a bit worn out, like where the back hoof has paint chipped off. I don't know if this particular model lights up, but if the heart on her cheek there were pushed, both it and the hear on her collar there would light up. She's also got a mark on her flank similar to a cutie mark, which appears on both hips. Sapphire Sapphire Magic Jewels is a fantastically lucky pony. She was born under a fortune star, which gifted her with the power to make lucky things happen. When you wear the magic jewel ring, you hold the key to her power. Touch your ring to the jewel on Sapphire Magic Jewel’s side and she lights up with mystic energy. Together you can bring good fortune your way! Sapphire is the 2nd of 4 that I got together on ebay. She's part of the 'Magic Jewel' line. She's the only yellow-bodied horse that I have and i really like her color scheme. If the jewel on her flank is pushed, both it and the earrings on her ears would light up. She and the other 'magic jewel' ponies only have the jewel on the one side, but both ears have and earring under the ears. Selena Selena Magic Jewels is the friendliest (??) magic ability to turn frowns into smiles wh (??) your help to spread harmony in the floating (??) powers when you touch your magic jewel (??) Suddenly she lights up with kindly energy (??) new friends. Selena is the 3rd of the 4 ponies I bought as a bundle on ebay. Like Sapphire above, she is also a 'Magic Jewel' pony. The description for Selena sadly isn't entirely compete. This particular one had her mane and tail cut shorter before I ever got her. All of the ponies, like the ones above, have much longer hair. I like it though; it makes her different from the other ponies as they have very similar stances otherwise, though a few like Sapphire have one varied stance. She lights up just like Sapphire. Shannon Shannon Magic Jewels is the strongest pony in Crystalia. She loves to compete with the other ponies. She can run fast, jump high, and gallop far. But she needs you to activate her super-strength! When you touch your magic jewel ring to the jewel on her side, she lights up with powerful energy. Brush her shiny mane so she looks beautiful crossing the finish line. Together you are always the winner! Shannon is the 4th and last of the bundle I got from ebay. Like Selena and Sapphire, she too is a 'Magic Jewel' pony. Her flank jewel and earrings both light up like the previous two in this list. Shyla N/A atm. Shyla is a 'Magic Heart' pony that I bought on ebay first thinking she was the one I had as I kid, but she wasn't. The marks on her flanks weren't quite right. I found the one I had online (she'll be up next) and showed them to my dad. He said he liked this one. Like Carmelia at the top she too would light up if the heart on her cheek were pressed, but I don't know if she works. I got her on her own. She came with the braid on her tail and i wanted to leave it there so I tied a little cord around it later on to make sure it stayed in place. Sadly, I don't have a description to share of her. She's not on the blog yet, but I was able to find and reach out the creator of the blog and they were kind enough to give me Shyla's name. Miranda Miranda Magic Heart is the wisest pony in Crystalia. But she needs your help to work her wisdom. When you brush her mane, her powers shine. Magic light beams in her heart make her super-smart! When you activate her power, you help her think of wise words and brilliant solutions. Let her shed magic light on your own questions. She loves to help! Like Shyla and Carmelia, Miranda is part of the 'Magic Heart' line. I found her on a site called mercari, which is similar to ebay. She's the one I had as I kid and sadly got rid of many years ago. I'm glad I found her again. She came with a cute bow around her tail - which the one I had as a kid didn't have - as well as the comb and little stickers in the picture. She actually does light up. I'm glad I was able to find her. Well, that's all of them for now. I don't know when this blog will get a new entry, but when I eventually get new ones, I'll be sharing them too!
  13. Welcome to the forum @Singular horse! Hope you enjoy it here! Your drawing looks cute. What pony is that there? An OC of yours?
  14. Welcome to the forum @Ruby_Spice! I hope you enjoy it here! Love your OC; the colors are really cute!
  15. Debating on whether to make it a blog or a topic in general. I just really wanna share these non-mlp ponies I got.

  16. Hi there @SqaureHoof! Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy it here!
  17. Where can someone post a non-mlp pony collection?

    1. Snow

      Snow

I suppose a blog might be a good place?

I tried to see if there were any topics in Beyond Equestria but I didn't find one, or at least nothing titled "Non MLP pony merch you have" :muffins:

    2. abronymouse

      abronymouse

could go in the general Media bit maybe?

  18. I think unless it's directed at someone specifically it's not really an attack. As others have stated before me, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if someone is gonna make some reaction video or essay about why they don't like something, that's their prerogative. I find it pretty easy to just leave the page of something I might dislike. There's really no need to feel attacked because someone doesn't like something you like. We've got to have thicker skins.
  19. What does she look like? Does her special talent have anything to do with the job she currently has? If not, what else do you envision her being good at? A pony doesn't necessarily have to have a job directly tied to their special talent. Look at Rarity for example: her special talent is finding gemstones, yet she makes clothes. She doesn't necessarily have to use these gems in a design, so her special talent is indirectly tied to her job but not necessarily integral to it. If you want her cutie mark to be tied to Lime Mint's job, then what makes her so good at being a set manager? Is she good at building the sets? Painting them? Designing them from the ground up but not being the one that directly builds them (I assume stage sets might need blueprints/concept art of some kind, but I don't really know anything about this particular profession)?
  20. So I wanna start a thread detail some horse town from the 1990s I wanna share. I don't know where one would post photos of these toys though. They aren't MLP. They're toys made by Micro Games of America, a lone called Magic Touch ponies that I think started in 1996. They have parts of them that light up. I have about 5 so far (1 more is on the way, hope to get some commissions to start collecting more eventually) and wanna share them. I'm not sure where they should go though. If anyone knows, please let me know!

  21. Welcome to the forum @OverTheStars! I hope you'll enjoy it here.

  23. I was going shopping last week at Aldi's and saw a lady having trouble clipping the cart chain in (for anyone confused, Aldi's is a cheap grocery store where you need a quarter to unchain a cart from the one in front of it. It's to help encourage people to bring the carts back instead of leaving them out in the parking lot, as Aldi's keeps its costs down by not having as many employees as a lot of big grocery stores). She was trying to put the cart's own chain in the locking slot, instead of the chain from the cart ahead of it. I helped her by letting her know she needed to use the chain from the cart in front of hers to lock it in. She was happy to get her quarter back and thanked me.
