    A lot of people in my life think I'm faking my depression, my response was "totally, because I love to pretend to be miserable and hate myself." It's like seriously people, I have enough on my plate already.

      Well of course. People seem to think that people with really bad depression are going to be mopey 24/7, but that's not how it works at all. You couldn't function at all if you didn't try to at least fake being happy most of the time.
