How hard was it to unlock characters in Melee?

Well, unlocking Falco required you to beat 100 Man Melee, unlocking Mewtwo required playing VS. Mode for a combined total of 20 Hours and Luigi needed you to finish a certain stage with a 2 in the time, then defeat Peach and Luigi in less than a minute to unlock him.
