A case for no government, anarchy misconception
ponytheorist replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
For 90% of the people, a goverment won't be needed for them to guide them. It's the 10% that starts to cause murders, rob things etc. Who governs the government? We do! By selecting who rules us. I admit, as it stands now, the system is broken and needs to be fixed. maybe by giving the people more to say about who rules them, I dunno. But just abandoning this to get a anarchy, doesn't seem good, because those 10% will eventually drag down other people in world of crime, because there is no punishment for their actions I think we differ this much, because you assume humans are from nature good, and I think humans are from nature evil. We're not gonna get an agreement here, I think -
A case for no government, anarchy misconception
ponytheorist replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
Take Ted Bundy. He didn't murder because he needed money, or because of a grudge, but because he liked it. I would bet, that there are a lot of people who would want to murder somebody, but don't because of the fear they end up in prison. when that fear is gone, what's stopping them? I think you're trusting the good of man to much. Religion isn't the reason so many people were murdered, but because some very smart people misused religion to get what they wanted. Same as with governments. They aren't bad, but there's often to less watch on what the higher ups in that system are doing. THAT is what needs to change, not to say: let's trow this system away Humans are just evil when there are no penalties on what they are doing. Same in an anarchy, as in a government -

But you see, that's the problem. Not everybody is an anarchist. So a lot of people don't live by those rules. And even though people know they shouldn't kill, it still happens! People are being killed on the streets while we're speaking. And don't pin this on the goverment that they 'brainwash' their people. Nobody is brainwashing me. I don't even know how they are supposed to do that with the internet giving us all the info we need -

When having anarchy, a lot of people will also die, because some (not all people, but enough) will take advantage of not having an government -
A case for no government, anarchy misconception
ponytheorist replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
I don't know what the rules are in America, but here in Holland, you can only abort a fetus until 26 weeks in the pregnacy, or something like that. Until that time, there is no brain activity, and therefore, no child or human in my eyes. However, aborting someone who's 3 years old (I don't even know how that's possible) seems really wrong. I do think something should be done about that. -

ponytheorist replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
What's wrong with thinking abortion is good? That not everybody agrees with your opinion about a good way to rule a country, doesn't mean their way is wrong. You seem to be a very firm believer in making your own choices, so I don't see where all this hate against liberalism is coming from But that said, I don't think countries becoming an anarchy is a good idea. People will decide for themselfs what is good, and what isn't good, but because people all think differently, there is no way to set the bar for what's good and what's evil. And even if we would be able to determine what's good and bad, it will be almost impossible to actually punish those who do bad things -

Hello everybody So I have been thinking the last two weeks that I wanted to make written reviews about all kind of things and to post it on deviantART. Problem is, I only have knowledge about cartoons, and how to review those. I know nothing about reviewing music, movies etc Now I want to make a group on DeviantART, with a few reviewers in them, that review all kind of things. So I'm ooking for reviewers who like to write and make reviews. I was thinking about this: -1/2 people with knowledge about modern music. -2 people who will review games -3/4 people reviewing movies -2 people reviewing cartoons -2/3 people reviewing other random things I was just thinking if some people would be interested in making this with me. If you are, please leave a comment in what you would want to review, your Skype name and your deviantART profile

In an alternate dimension, instead of the elements of harmony, there are the elements of chaos. Their job is to make sure chaos reigns. And those elements of chaos somehow end up in the real Equestria- 6 replies

Do you know what the definition of Insanity is?
ponytheorist replied to Sig Hoovestrong's topic in General Discussion
Insanity is in all of us, waiting to be freed from our bodies, even though people don't want to admitt it. People like to see themselfs as normal, perfectly shaped for this world and being able to fend of evil, while in reality, evil and insanity are one of the same. Insanity is thinking about thinking to murder the people you hate, while it's also doing things the same way, expecting them to change. Insanity is waking up in the morning, and wishing to make a change in the world while knowing full well that there is no chance to make things better. Insanity is the lying we do to ourselfs, to the one's we love, hoping that one day... these lies will be truth. Insanity is us. We are insanity- 23 replies

Okay, so this one time I was at the KFC, and I ordered a meal with a cola. When I and my friends walked back to a table, I accidentally dropped my soda. I stood there for a few seconds, before whispering: get the chicken. I then grapped the chicken and fries, took them in my hand while my friends were telling me to get a new cola, while I was yelling ''NOOO!'' while taking my stuff. We all ran out of the KFC, I holding my food, while my friends yelled: WHY ARE WE RUNNING? True story. What can I say? I panicked!

From what I gathered, she started a movement to stop the Molestia blog. However, I also read on another site (it was some kind of brony information site like Equestria Daily) that PinkiePony also made these kind of... explicit works herself. That while wanting to shut down that blog. Just a shame, because a lot of people liked that blog I don't know in how far that's true, however. I don't know how trustworthy that site was. But I personally think people should have the freedom to make these kind of things. The guy didn't make any money of the blog (I think) and it was more a parody then something else. Of course, Hasbro can get a bad name from things like that, especially if childeren see it, so I guess they have all the right to take it down.

So lately I've heard things about this PinkiePony girl, and that a lot of bronies hate her. Now, lets be clear: I'm not trying to cause a flame war here. Whether she's right or not, I don't know. I'm just curious as to why so many people hate her exactly. All over the internet different things are being said, and I don't know what's the truth or where to find it. I know the basics, that she made sure that the web cartoon ''Princess Molestia'' was put away, but many bronies also claim that she also made on the edge kind of work, so I don't know what to believe

music How rap and hip hop has changed...
ponytheorist replied to CosmicHooves's topic in Media Discussion
Rap and Hip Hop hasn't changed, the people listening to it have changed. I personally listen to music with great vocals and lyrics in them. But what I noticed, is that a lot of people listen to to fucking Anaconda, which is all about sex and big buts But I don't think you should be mad at the music business, but at the people listening to it. If nobody would listen to that ''music'' then that music wouldn't excist. But if people want to listen to that, let them. It's becoming a problem when people are saying that these works are good. My sister tries to tell me that Anaconda is great music, while the music I listen to (Eminem, Voltaire) is crap. People are seriously becoming less good at recognising good music. And don't give me that ''It's subjective'' crap, because it isn't. There are clear criteria at how you can see if the music is good yes or no. But Eminem has released a new album: Shady XV, with all kinds of good rap music. If you like old school rap, then give this a go -
He made rap songs about mlp. He stopped doing songs about MLP a few months back, however. And to be honest, I wasn't a big fan of rap before I heard his songs. And now I listen to Eminem, D12 and many more The thing with YAC is that he has been in multiple cases with the community. So has he (probably) stolen money that was supposed to go to a good charity, was one of the reasons Everfree Northwest went wrong (bitching all the time, doing a mature song for a PG audience, etc) made fun of someone who probably had something mental while recording it and uploading it to youtube, and many more things Really, I've stopped being a fan of him after I heard all this shit
