The very castle walls feel as though they intend to swallow me whole after each corner turn and every corridor taken. This looks like the same home I shared with my counterpart only a...longer than It should have been ago...
It has felt like ages- time has given me back the strength I had lost and then some, but have I been gone long enough for this monument to our fair rule, to become a... a mausoleum of what was?
Each wall feels damp, every room cracked open shares the pungent lazy pressure of stale air...
Has there been no one here? Has she been alone all this time?
The guard quarters and the staff wing.. all in the same affair...
Nothing but constant duty to the land... mine and hers alike... with nothing but isolation, nothing but these walls to exist with...
Even now, only hours in such conditions, I feel myself falling inwards onto my own self doubt and hateful inner criticism...
How could I abandon the kingdom? How was it Luna's responsibility to care for it all, and why did I get to assume that everything would carry on the same as it had been once I returned?

This familiar night air- just as it was before I left.
From the land's perspective, its as if I've never left. From the ponies point of view, they see that their other half of the kingdom return, and in great spirits no less!

Escaping that stone sarcophagus has given back to me that which was lost upon its entrance. I should not have left, and I intend to try and make that right, but I gained myself back in doing so. Equestria did not need a hollow husk of a ruler- the ponyfolk...
my sister deserved more from me, and I could not give it.
Since our surreal meeting in the throne room I have not heard or seen from her this whole day...
I pray she find herself home soon, we can excise the air from the castle halls and bring new life to it once again.hopefully doing the same to our love...

Luna walked into the sunset, the dark night filled with glinting stars following her wake over the pristine distant mountains of the far off lands beyond Equestria.
"Sister..." She sobbed, approaching Celestia. A howling, cool breeze surrounded them, carrying Luna's voice with a chill that bit sharply into Celestia's being.
"I am afraid. I have changed...the Luna you have come to know is gone."
Luna collapses at Celestia's hooves. "My eyes close forever...in the darkness my voice will always be."

A golden light appears from one last breath, bathing Celestia in swirling galaxies of glittering magical lights. A howling, empty voice whispers in Celestia's ear.
"Do you want to see?
Let the Nightmare come.
When the darkness falls, seek the old castle.
Enter the Throne Room, you will see a tattered tapestry of the Two Sisters...ignite it with the fire of lightening...then walk through the door..."
