  1. Okay, some might have already known that the European Union has passed the controversial copyright directive of Article 11 and 13 and you might wonder what that means with me staying here.

First of all, the law won't be in effect till 2021. so we're still 2 years away. Secondly, which i already discussed with the staff here, if i am not able to come here normally, i am allowed to use a VPN to keep my german identity anonymous on the Internet.

    TL;DR i'll be going nowhere. ;)

The more regulations you impose, the more you motivate people to figure out how to bypass them.

Brilliant -- 200 IQ points for you, EU. :scoots::unamused:

I'm sorry. But what exactly does that law mean for Europeans like you? And I have a friend in France who I see as a great friend interacting with me here on MLPF and on Discord. Would this law change for him, if you believe you can answer that?

@A.V. exactly. There is always a way to go past certain laws in legal ways. Especially in this technological day and age.

@Will Guide Well, the law is for all people who are in the european union, so France is also impacted by it. The big fear is that people will not be able to normally use big platforms like Youtube, Facebook and other big platforms that are filled with copyrighted material, if these big sites won't put in upload filters that ban these copyrighted materials.

It will be interesting to see how American and Canadian companies will react to this law.
