Wanna know why I disappear for so long? [nobody probably cares, but here I go anyway]

this bullshit right here.

My mom switched ISP's because this one was cheaper and promised higher mbs than our last one.
Our last one? consistently stayed around 20 to 25, almost never went out. Did exactly what the package said.
This one? Promised speeds of 40 to 50 mbs, no outages, and would only slow down if there was a particularly bad storm.
it never goes above 1.5 mbs down and 2 mbs up, is out most the time and is completely useless if there's a single large cloud in the sky.

I've been having to use mobile data to use discord or even do my homework!

My mom swears it's better and the difference is completely unnoticeable. but she almost never uses the internet. when she does, it's to use facebook.

And the price difference for anyone wondering?
old: $120 usd
New: $80 usd.


It's almost like she wants us to be unable to do anything with it.

She said we had to switch because the old one was expensive. I get that it was 120 dollars, but now you're paying 80 dollars for a fancy brick!

I've been trying to get a job so I could at least help with it, but she said we wouldn't switch back even if I was paying for the internet by my self!
 

also, maybe if you'd stop smoking a pack [almost two] of cigarettes a day we'd actually have some money.

Sorry for the rant guys, but I need to vent somewhere. at least here people can avoid it if they don't want to read it.
