I turn 20 next month...
It's so weird, and kind of scary.
I'm about to be 2 decades old and I've done nothing with my life.
I have friends who are 17 and are already in college, and I haven't even tried to apply to one I want (tbh, I don't even know where to start and I couldn't afford it anyway). I wanted so bad to go to college and sometimes I wonder why I wanted to go in the first place.
I'm so confused ;-;
I don't even know what to do with myself or where to start.
I want to be an animator, but I have next to no talent and I'd never be able to afford any kind of art school either.
So much has changed as well
It's like I'm hardly the same person I was last may (when I graduated) but next to nothing has happened to cause it.
I don't even know what's going on any more.-
I'm turning 20 next month also. They say that your 20s are the most important times of your life. But there are also many things I'm plenty unsure about. Yet I keep looking, because the world does keep on changing and I have to keep up with the present.
There is no set place on where you must start. But you should start small instead.

Anyone who tells you that you should have everything figured out by 20 is only compensating, for they haven't figured anything out themselves.
You're a kid still. Anyone under 30 is still a kid. It's logical to presume that you don't have anything out. You're not supposed to. Cause this is when you take your time and do figure out a path, and then do it again when that path changes, as it inevitably will.
Friends already in college? Don't do the best they can do. Only do the best you can do. Not anyone else. You.
And no talent? Dude, talent is a myth. Nobody is ever gonna start off good at anything.
The best work for it and work hard. No it won't be over night. But what better time to start then now?
There are plenty of 30-somethings out there still trying to figure things out. Don't freak out that you have nothing figured out at 20. You've got plenty of time to come up with a plan or two.
