I just finished watching the Pokemon Direct and sweet Celestia! I can't believe what Game Freak is giving us!
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX. A remake of the first Mystery Dungeon games for the Switch? Not only a remake, but adding mega evolutions and other Pokemon that weren't in that game? I'm all for this!
- Sword and Shield Expansion Pass with more characters, new locations, a 2 part story event and more legendary Pokemon. Including more Galarian forms, Gmax Pokemon and two hundred old Pokemon making a return!
- Even Pokemon Home being released in February of this year.
I think 2020 is the year to be a Pokemon Trainer/gamer. I know I might be crazy in saying this, but I think Gen 8 has won the title of best Pokemon game series. They could have gone with the old idea of making games like Platinum, Ultra Sun/Moon, but they didn't. Instead, they expanded upon what was considered a fun game, giving player's more post game content and giving back more Pokemon that didn't make the game.
I'm truly looking forward to when these story additions are released this year!

@Will Guide I love the Mystery Dungeon Series. My favorite being Explorer's of Darkness. I'm glad that Game Freak is bringing the original games back and doing a sort of reboot/remake.
I feel like the Sword and Shield announcements topped the Mystery Dungeon news, but that's just me. Seeing how all the new Pokemon and information that was given.

Also, since @DivinePony1000 up there said 2020 is the year for video gamers, they forgot to include Animal Crossing New Horizons, which I've been looking forward to for over a year
