  1. "Well, then. Are we waiting for anypony else?" He smiled at the small group that had formed. He actually looked forward to eating dinner with all of them; it wold give him a chance to get to know them better, and to see if they would tolerate each other; he already started taking and interest in Fire, but Sunburst seemed interesting too...
  2. He smiled at Sunburst, then back at Fire. "OH, Aerial Silks... kinda like that thing that circus ponies do, when they hang from two... silk strips, I guess, and they do things and twist around?" He chuckled slightly, wondering how the ponies did the Aerial Silk... he wanted to call them tricks...
  3. Nightfall reached for the controls, and hit the launch button. But nothing happened. He looked at the doors, nearly panicking as water started lapping at them. He turned back to the controls, and frantically found the button for closing the doors. Only then did he hit the launch button, and the pod shot away from the Defender. He sat in the control seat, and followed the trail of bubbles coming from another pod.
  4. "Sunburst... Well, it's-" He looked back and saw Fire Sky coming towards him. "Oh, Fire! Hey! There you are." He heard Sunburst making some excuses about leaving to go eat dinner. "Have fun at dinner, Sunburst." He turned back to Fire. "A show, hmm? What kind of show did you put on?"
  5. The mare suddenly spoke up and asked him his name. She, however, sounded maybe a little defensive and pulled back from trying to be social. "Nightfall." He smiled, thinking about the sayings that smiles help everypony. "And your name?" "The second mare I've met today..."

  9. "Buck! Buckbuckbuckbuckbuck!" Nightfall ran through the halls, a wave of water following him. Even if the sub wasn't flooded, it would take a while for the engines to be close to repaired. Nightfall remembered about something, and leapt, teleporting to his room. He made it, gathered up his notes and bag hastily, and teleported back to where he remembered seeing an escape pod sign. But as he appeared, the wave came speeding through the hall. "Always my luck!" He yelled, running off towards the escape pods, diving in one and finding himself hoping that Cascade would be fine. "Don't worry about her; her wings may help her survive. But, then again... they looked much different... I'll ask her about that next time I see her. If I see her... wait, why am I caring about her?"
  10. "Oh... all right then." As Lorcan went out, Solara looked back out and called to Windy and Nightfall. "You two wanted to check up? Here. I'll see if I can tell you something about what is happening." Nightfall turned around, looked at Windy, and moved to the room a bit. "You still want to do this, Windy? He muttered.
  11. "Thanks." He sat down across from her, leaned back, and opened his book. He had it with him in his bags, but he didn't feel like going all the way to his room to grab it; the library was closer to the aft then his room, and he didn't want to be alone in his room. He opened to the part where he left off, glanced quickly at the mare, and began reading.
  12. Nightfall nodded, and looked at Windy. He started walking back to their room, realizing that something had just gone down, and not something good at all. Solara looked at Lorcan. "No, not really... They had broken your stuff. But they didn't mean it... Oh, come on, Lorcan. Let them lay up, and h Then we can forget about it."
  13. Nightfall looked over and saw an orange mare reading a book, and blushing slightly. He thought he had seen her glance at him, but he didn't really mind. He trotted into the fictitious books about dragons, and pony wars. They were something he indulged in. After finding one he liked, he went back to the table the mare was sitting at."Hello. Mind if I sit here?" It was an odd question, as there were many more open, untaken tables around.
  14. Nightfall heard the sound, and the announcement. He got up, nodded to Cascade, and ran off to the engine room. He arrived shortly afterwards. "All right, what did I miss? Anything wro- oh, buck." He turned to an intercom. "Captain, we're having bad engine issues!"
  15. Nightfall looked, and noticed that Fire had left. He sighed, and decided to go do something. He trotted over to a wall and looked at the ship's map.there, he found that one could do a great deal on board. He decided to go to the library and just relax there for a bit. He eventually reached it, and trotted inside.
  16. "Well, if you want me to help you out somehow, then I'll try. Although... I dunno if I can help much, due to my own line of work." He didn't feel remorse in saying his slight rejection of her. "Ah, well. I just hope we don't waste too much time down here. We won't find anything, and I'd hate to be down here for weeks."
  17. "Problem..? Did I- er, did we sleep through something?" Although something had happened and yelling was involved, Solara opened the door for the two of them. "Oh. Hello. What is it that you two want? Lorcan isn't too pleased at the moment, and if you broke something, now might not be the best time to admit it..."
  18. Nightfall got up, and was helped by... well, as he started limping to the lobby, no one came to help. Eventually a couple of paramedics showed up, and took him to the small medical tent the had set up in the lobby. They barely got a word out of him, and his pain seemed, from the outside, faked, so they soon told him to go back to the fighter's lounge, which scared him.
  19. He laughed again. "Canterlot. I was born there, raised there, and live there. I've been to other places, but I've never lived elsewhere; I never really though about moving, so I don't." He glanced at Fire, then back at the water. "And you, Fire? Where do you hail from?"
  20. "That's ok, Windy." He got up and followed Windy to the door. "And I'd like to come with you. You know... just in case something happens. I mean, nothing should happen, but life can suck and you never know what will happen in the next short moments to come... I'll shut up now." He blushed.
  21. "Oh..." Solara looked down. "That's... Well..." She looked up at Star. "May I first tell you our... thing we want to talk about?" She was going to say it anyway, so she began. "Well.. Lorcan... He won't be alone anymore; that is, he's going to, um... I'll just say it: Lorcan and I are engaged, as in going to get married."
  22. "I guess we should! It would be nice to see their reactions! Maybe they can even help set-up the island for the wedding!" He blushed slightly, and held her close, stroking her mane with one of his hooves. Solara, smiled at Lorcan, and before he could react, she grinned and jumped to the door. "Of course you can! We'd also like to talk to-" She opened the door, and froze a little. "- you." Her smile returned a little as she looked up at Star.
  23. He collapsed to the ground. At least she hadn't commanded them to eat at his brain, or heart, or anything like that. He used his magic to teleport himself just outside the arena, where he curled up, nearly crying in pain, something that took a lot of pain to do. He didn't care now if he lost.
  24. His chuckled got more into a laugh. "It's just Nightfall, Fire. Unless you want me to call you Miss Fire. And honestly, I don't know if you would like that." "Wow, she seems to take an interest into you. And after you guys just met, then... This is weird. You might want to hold off for now, Nightfall."
