  1. Tear a hole in the fabric of space-time? Yeah, that's kinda my thing.
  2. You're not aware of HairStar? It's like CoinStar, only it counts every single hair follicle that you deposit.
  3. I feel slightly dirty for thinking that is an awesome picture.
  4. Sadly, as shown by nearly every internet community in the existence of the internet, that is a concept people have no idea how to comprehend. Why else would they need to be constantly asked to stay on topic? Common Sense is not common.
  5. Did I specially say I was talking to you? No. Didn't even quote you. Just a general statement of how nearly everyone claims it has something to do with MLP, which it doesn't. No, no it is not.
  6. I am seriously tired of people claiming it's something to do with MLP. Diablo 3 has been in production for over a decade guys, MLP has been wildly popular for less than two years ... get over yourselves. Whimsyshire is in place directly as a response to all the people crying over the fact that Diablo 3 looks much less 'dark' than the previous two. So Blizzard, being their usual sarcastic selves, added in a level that is overly bright and cheerful to be as sarcastic as possible. Do you know why we have a Cow Level in Diablo 2? Because in response to all the speculation of one in Diablo 1, Blizzard was extremely sarcastic and added it in. So please, get off your high hor-- pony, and stop thinking that everything has to relate to technicolor ponies.
  7. I get the best of both worlds. Lurk often, post minimally. Reduce the chance of personality conflict while still gleaning large amounts of information. There are disadvantages to my method, but nothing is perfection.
  8. >.< I refer to my avatar picture. She said if she was angry she would reflect that in her post ... reiterating you think she is angry when she said she was not is ... well, pointless. To everyone: Any place that has more than one person will eventually have a conflict. It is best to work through it in a manner which lets everyone present their opinion then come to a resolution. Ignoring and suppressing everything allows things to simmer until they explode.
  9. Some people think murder is fun and alright. Does it make murder alright? I see a lot of "but it's for entertainment" as an excuse. Still doesn't make it right. Simply pointing that out. How can we claim to be accepting and tolerant and kind if we promote pictures like this, regardless of '"intentions".
  10. I understand it's for entertainment purposes (I guess?), but I can't help but point this out: -> Is on MLP forums -> MLP promotes Love and Tolerance -> Posts a pic making a sterotype and bashing people ... makes sense? Enough people to sell millions of dollars of magazines per year. But I guess it's more for looking at pictures, not exactly reading ...
  11. Neil Patrick Harris Fantastic actor, diverse roles, amazing singing voice.
  12. Here is a brief overview of my pony related stories (I might make another thread for my non-pony stuff later), most of which are short. Organized oldest to newest. Story titles contains a link to the story. I'll update this as I add more stuff to it. Please leave your feedback and critiques, they are like gold to me! And thanks for reading! By Your Side A filly, unable to fly, falls off a cloud. Only one Pegasus is close enough to help, but will she get there in time? Random, Slice of Life 2942 words Spitfire Shower of Memories Despite Scootaloo's sad and lonely past, she is taken under wing by another pony. She takes part in the Skipper tradition, spanning over several years. Sad, Random, Slice of Life, Alternate Universe 4539 words Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash Final Lesson Writing a letter couldn't be any harder for Twilight Sparkle. Chat is Dead

Like I said, use the Steam Group chat. It's free Don't need to bother with 'sending invites' Can appoint Moderators Can make it private (members only) Oh, and it's free. Yes, I know I said that twice.

    Chat is Dead

Probably has been mentioned already, but there is a very simple solution: Use the chat room in the Steam group.
  15. This is actually a bug on the site's software, it was unreported until I submitted a ticket on my website a few weeks ago. The official response was that if you are subscribed to the thread, the notification for the thread response overrules the notification of the quoted message, so the second one is not sent. While that is their official explanation, I still get the bug occasionally even on topics I am not subscribed to.
  16. Those three sections should do fine (although I don't see Life Advice listed); it filters threads just enough to keep them organized, but retains the relevancy of tags (specifically in the Media section).
  17. While yes, these are MLP forums with a focus on MLP content, you must realize that the MLP universe contains a finite amount of content. There is only so much people can discuss about the same thing. When season two is over, there will be a long hiatus until season three comes out ... and that's assuming it will. During this time, pony related content will slow down at an ever increasing rate. Users will get bored and leave until the forum itself dies. I've seen this first hand during the wait for season two ... and we don't want to see that happen to these forums, do we? It would be silly to intentionally harm the community by turning people away from having an intentionally messy section of the forums, because in the long run ... that section will keep members occupied and active.
  18. Let me present some examples. The following picture is that of this forum's Off-Topic section. All of the topics are just thrown into one section, presenting a very messy display with the tags. Not to mention that if I don't care about seeing anything about Music or Support, I can't avoid those topics because they are all displayed here. As for the second example, this is from a different forum: This allows for a much cleaner display of topics, giving the site a much more professional look. In addition, the user would be able to completely avoid any subject that they do not want to see. Note: this section has any topics that do not fit the sub-categories display right below what I've taken a screenshot of so that even "Misc" has a spot. I just recently converted a forum into a similar format of which I described, and it really doesn't take all that much time. The fact that your forums use tags makes it that much easier to do. Should take around 30 minutes to do, or 60 minutes if you are really slow, but no longer.
  19. That is a fairly badass adventure with the wolves. I commend your sibling.
  20. After poking around on the forums a bit, I've noticed one major thing that makes me cringe: the organization. While the forum boards themselves are decent, there are no sub-boards. The tag function is rather neat, but it leaves a lot of areas in a large mess. For example, the Everfree Forest section. Instead of (or even in supplement of) the tags, a sub-board can be created where all threads of that type can be made. Benefits: Extreme organization View the wanted types of threads without having to even search via tags. Would present a cleaner and more professional feel Allows users to completely bypass threads of a nature they do not want to see. This will further help the problem of the "Support" threads. Having them in their own sub-board will allow people to not even view a single support thread if they choose to.
  21. Greetings, fellow Bipeds and/or Equines. Names are important to me, and thus I have taken upon the title of Strife on these forums. This name has accompanied me on many a medium within the Internet, although I typically choose the name of Spitfire on MLP sites. Date and place of me learning of MLP will be forever ingrained upon my memory (hold on, lemme try and remember). That date is July 7th on the Terraria Online forums. Since then, I have gladly taken part in the community and the show, which has consumed the greater part of my spare time. As far as my artistic endeavors go ... well, they don't. Completely zero skills as far as visual art, sound / music, and other types of art. The only medium I've attempted with the least amount of failure has been writing. If you are interested in seeing the pony related works that I have, please visit my FimFiction page. All feedback and critiques are highly appreciated! I do have non-pony writings, as well as poems of both types. If you are interested in seeing any of this, please let me know! Normally, I should post things as my favorite pony, favorite episode, favorite MP song ,etc here ... However, I enjoy a much different direction. Please feel free to engage in conversation with me if you would like to learn a bit more about me. Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198031925111 Skype: blazingspitfyre (if you do send me an invite, please also let me know you're from these forums, if the message allows) Nice to join the community, happy posting!
