  1. Ikr, Dragonair is one of my favourite designs (and Dratini is damn cute), but I've only caught two so far, so I'm am a fair way off getting my Dragonair (or Dragonite for that matter :/ )
  2. Saw the new Star Wars trailer, that final clip took my excitement up to 11 :D

  3. Dratini is probably my favourite catch so far too, and I caught my first Growlithe today too
  4. The legendary ending does give you a glimpse into what Cortana has planned, but it's literally about 5 seconds extra (if memory serves). If you want to p,any legendary for the fun (torture XD) of it, I'd recommend it, but if you want to play it for the ending alone, I'd be hesitant as there are some seriously frustrating parts (fighting the 3 Wardens had me swearing at the TV XD) for only a few extra seconds payoff.
  5. I forgot Reach :s - that's another I enjoyed, and like you say, the MP was excellent on it. The new game mode introduced, was it called invasion? (where you have to capture objectives to open up the next section with the ultimate goal of the Elites stealing a data core or something?) - whatever it was called, I spent hours on that game mode!
  6. The first one I owned was Yellow, but I had played a lot of Blue as my friend had it on his gameboy (before I had mine, I saved up and bought one specifically for Pokemon XD). But I got Silver pretty much on release, and I'd say that is was my favourite experience of the lot as it was an entirely new adventure, with new Pokemon, that I got to experience in its entirety from the beginning! As others have said, the day and night system (I never understood how it worked, it never occurred to me there might be a battery in the cartridge itself lol), breeding and the two regions really added to the game imo. That said, I got Pearl when I first went to uni, and three of my flatmates also had either Pearl or Diamond, and it was an absolute blast racing each other to the Elite Four and then battling our teams against one another - very good memories! Last year, I picked up Omega Ruby, and again (even though I didn't have anyone to play it with) had it was just as good as ever, so am waiting for Sun/Moon to come out to start all over again .
  7. One thing I will say for Halo 5 is that it was one of the more enjoyable ones to play (solo) on Legendary, but the story was a bit lacklustre and it was over pretty quickly. There seems to be an annoying trend in movies at the moment that makes the story suffer, to set up the sequel, and I get the feeling Halo 5 suffered from this too. So, while I did enjoy the game, the story didn't blow me away and I'd say its the worst Halo of the lot :s. 3 is my personal favourite, with 1 being number two and 2 being number three XD. I actually quite liked 4, while it did change some things and avoided the rings entirely, I thought it wasn't a bad attempt at 343 trying to start a new storyline off, and I'd actually recommend it - which I would find much harder to do with 5 personally. When 6 comes out, I will probably end up getting it, but I won't be looking forward to it as much as I did the previous ones :/
  8. That actually looks handy, will have to check it out
  9. Oh my days - that is soooo cute!!!!
  10. I guess I'm alright when I'm not really thinking about it, but the moment I begin to concentrate it goes downhill XD And also thank god for OS X spell checking everything I type, regardless of where I'm typing/which program I'm using
  11. Hi there and welcome to the forums, your hobbies include many things that you can find on this site - so you should have fun here (best pic I could find mixing Rarity and gaming XD). I'll look forward to seeing you around the forums. Old members unite! I guess XD
  12. Saw this captioned 'the way real men shoot animals' a little while ago, it seems appropriate:
  13. I'm a big foxes fan, was lucky enough a little while ago to be doing a twilight walk, and saw a vixen with three Cubs playing in a field (the Cubs were pouncing on each other/their mother/the grass - was adorable!
  14. I'd also be interested to see if we get a brand new Eeveeloution, there are a few types yet to be Eevee'd (like those you mentioned)
  15. Probably a combination of the nostalgia factor and to try to get the Pokemon Go players interested (there have been more than one who have said that they really don't want to see any generation after 1 being introduced), so it could be Gamefreak/Nintendo trying to draw that crowd in? But that's all speculation on my part :/
  16. Hmm, might change my name on here, the reasons for S.F. don't really apply anymore, so maybe time for something new :)

    technology Apple/Mac Enthusiasts Thread

I'm an Apple fan too - I have an old C2D white bamboos that I got in 2007 that still works (except the battery died, but if plugged into the mains it still works) and currently am using a late 2012 iMac. However, the PSU has gone twice on the Imac (seems to be a problem with my specific model with the GTX680mx graphics card), and it's showing signs of giving up again :/. So am currently waiting (hoping!) Apple update their Mac Pro line, as I'd love one of them, but don't want to drop that much money on a computer that is essentially 3 years old :s - so hopefully there will be an announcement by the end of the year!!!!! (That is one thing I hate about Apple, their obsession with secrecy). As for others, I love my iPhone 6 (first iPhone and only cell phone I've kept for more than a year without wanting to upgrade) and am typing this on an iPad Pro...so I think it's safe to say I've been pretty much indoctrinated into the Apple way of life lol Yeah, it's really easy, the worst thing you can do is try to put the ram in upside down, but if you do it won't fit so will be come obvious before doing any damage.
  18. Looks like there are more getting the 'Aloha' treatment: Meowth and Marowak (so by extension Persian and Cubone) are being Aloha'd up too http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/168128-More-Pokemon-are-Getting-New-Looks-in-Pokemon-Sun-and-Moon#&gid=gallery_6384&pid=1
  19. Hello and welcome, it's a shame the French forum wasn't very active, but happily now you get to meet all of us Am sure you will have fun here, and look forward to seeing you around the forums
  20. Hi and welcome, addicted to the forums. Addicted to MLP you say? Well, in that case - you'll fit in just fine . I'm sure you will enjoy your time here with us, and you can find a conversation about almost any aspect of the show here, so you shouldn't have any problems there . I hope you have fun and will be seeing you around the forums!
  21. Hi there and welcome (to Vietnam apparently ). I hope you enjoy your stay with us all. Your interests are IT and gaming, in that case I know there are loads of people on here who share your interests, so a, sure you'll have no trouble fitting in . I guess I'll be seeing you around the forums then
  22. If/when you do get that free time, I can easily recommend Ori - absolute gem of a game
  23. I'd drink it, no question - and fun fact, trying to conserve it is actually counter-intuitive to survival. Your body needs that water when it needs it - people have been found dead in deserts, died of dehydration, with water still on them because of trying to conserve it. In this case, if you've made it 5 days, you will be so dehydrated that drinking it all then and there (perhaps not in one big go, but over the course of half an hour at the most) will easily be your best chance of survival. So I would drink it, and then prey that whichever direction I'd chosen to walk in was the quickest at finding civilisation/help.
  24. Recently got Doom on sale, and am having a blast! But when I'm not in the mood for mowing down wave after wave of demons, I recently realised (as in, noticed yesterday) that the Elite Dangerous Horizons expansion is now out on Xbox, so that will be my calmer game of the moment XD
  25. It's a shame that common sense doesn't always seem to be that common - taking a quote from the article: "Kirby said Riley and his friend had noticed someone watching them from the top of a hill that overlooks the park, but it was dark and they were mostly looking at their cellphones." It just goes to emphasise the point that an area that maybe safe during the day, may not be safe when it is dark/there's nobody around. It's a crying shame that people can be (and have been) targeted because of the game, and a tragedy for all those involved. But, despite this, I still feel the games positives outweigh the negatives - I'm still enjoying my time with it, and plan to do so for a fair while yet!
